1. Seinfeld (clear cut #1 for me)
2. The Cosby Show
3. The Wonder Years
4. Night Court
5. The Office (U.S. version)

Just behind those I'd put Saved by the Bell and the old TGIF shows (Full House, Step by Step, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Perfect Strangers, etc).

If cartoons aren't considered sitcoms, I'd go with (in no particular order):

Cheers
Andy Griffith
(Honorable mention - Cosby, Married with Children & Three's Company)

If cartoons count as sitcoms, I'd throw South Park in there.

ETA: I forgot to say I was born in 1976.

I think most people would have South Park on the list if we are counting cartoons. Hell, I could come up with just a list of cartoons that would be awesome in its own right.
