For theater experience (who I was with, no problems with audience), movie, impact on film or film presentation, how surprised I was.
It has to be The Matrix
Following that:
Last of the Mohicans
Jurassic Park
The Avengers
Infinity War
LoTR Trilogy
South Park BLU

Jurassic Park. But Terminator 2 is pretty close behind.

Probably this. Raiders of the lost ark was pretty intense for me as a young kids too.

That was my runner-up to Pulp Fiction. Was blown away by the matrix.

Shawshank.
Coincidentally, I had just read King’s novella a month or two prior. I had no idea they were making a film version, and I was stoked when the previews debuted. It did not disappoint, though at the time, when I encouraged friends and colleagues that they needed to see it, they blew me off and said they’d never heard of it.

My dad took me to see Jurassic Park in theaters 6 times as a kid
As an adult, The Dark Knight

Star Wars
probably helped by me being young and not jaded yet
also Jaws a couple years before that
We must be about the same age because I was trying to decide between these two movies. I think I give the edge to Star Wars because Darth Vader > Big Shark.

Empire Strikes Back. Or Raiders. Saving Private Ryan was very memorable. ET in the theater was a big deal when I was a kid. First move I ever saw twice at the movies.

Star Wars (1977) No New Hope and no episode IV. It was simply Star Wars and that’s all.

Jurassic Park for me. The perfect theater movie.

I had the privilege of being about 14 years old in 1977 when the original "Star Wars" was released. There was nothing like that before. This was before VCR's cable TV was in it's infancy and this masterpiece with it's amazing soundtrack knocked everyone over. The lines were insane and it played in our theater for about a year...Remember..NO computers Streaming, VCR's etc...Rewatching it at the theaters was the only way to see it...I'll wager I saw it at least 10-15 times (Ticket were affordable back in the day)
Star Wars wasn't just a movie...it was an experience and was also the beginning of a new era in Science Fiction cinematography with what ILM was able to do with these revolutionary FX.
It was a great time to be a young teenage boy

Gladiator.
Junior year in high school. It looked great visually on the big screen, the sound was awesome, great story and Joaquin Phoenix stole the show as the villain.
Also was dating a smoking fox at the time. During our whole time of dating on and off a couple of years, the 2.5 hours we were in the theater was the longest I had been without her titties in my month or my cock in hers. The movie was that great at the time. Good times.
