Truth is, he's a big fricking weirdo. There's the obvious Scientology shite and both his kids didn't turn out gigantic freaks by themselves.

I've got nothing to actually back it up, but I feel like this guy came along and started getting some of the big roles that Will Smith might have filled previously.

I think he did a pretty decent job with the live action Alladin. He had tough shoes to fill and did yeoman’s work.

After Hancock his career really stalled and he picked some terrible arse movies to be in.

His career has been poor the last 10 years but if you like either of the first two I don't know how you have no desire to see Bad Boys 3. It is the best mix of comedy and action in a franchise IMO. It's highly enjoyable to forget everything and watch a movie you know is going to be over the top and have these two bickering back and forth throughout.

I feel like Will Smith will go down as this generation's version of Bing Crosby. Bing Crosby was actually a much bigger movie star back in his day then Humphrey Bogart and James Stewart and Cary Grant. But Crosby's film career has been completely forgotten because he made a bunch of forgettable movies that didn't stand the test of time. The only thing Crosby is remembered for today is his song, White Christmas because it's played during the holidays every year. I feel like Will Smith will have a similar legacy 40, 50, 60 years from now. He'll be remembered for Fresh Prince of Bel Air and some of the classic songs he made as a rapper such as "Summertime". Nobody will remember his film career.

He was initially asked to play the role of Neo in the Matrix and turned it down to play in the Wild Wild West movie. That was a big mistake on his part. He's made some bad decisions picking roles.

You're wrong. Anyone who can name five Bogart films or five Cary Grant films will know of Going My Way, Bells of St. Mary, Stagecoach, and the Hope & Crosby road films. And White Christmas is played every year because it's a classic, not because it's a holiday filler. And any film buff can tell you that the song "White Christmas" was from Crosby's Holiday Inn, another classic.

I will say he lucked out on getting cast for Aladdin. Disney is a cash cow.

He's "Genie" for a whole new generation. I'd say his career is going just fine.
