Any of you guys on here seen it yet? Any good? Looking at trailers, it honestly looks like it would be very boring to me, but it's getting some pretty high reviews from what I see, so I'm not sure if I should give it a shot or not. Thoughts?

Looks like liberal propaganda to me. No need to subject myself to that.

liberals friends thought it was poorly made, rushed out, and agreed when I mentioned that it was "probably created to try and save the integrity of the Washington Post"

The liberal media likes liberal propaganda? Go figure.

Hanks and Streep have been very vocal about this being a politically motivated movie.

people who view it as liberal shill probably haven't seen it ... and the decision to publish was a huge deal at the time ... not sure why hatred of today's wapo carries backward to then ... we needed to know about those papers, regardless of who published them ...

In the rush to get this film out, Speilberg has sacrificed tension and drama for a quick narrative. Good performances with only a little bit of self-serving humility. It is very relevant to the current situation but suffers from a lack of creative work and dedication. Surprising that they didn't take the time to make a great movie.

Not to bring the PT here... but I think you are really off-target.

I, for one, can say that when an actress such as Meryl Streep makes a complete arse of herself by putting herself front and center of politics, anything she is a part of will be viewed as liberal propaganda. I don't care if she plays Nancy Reagan in the most fair and accurate depiction of the Reagan years ever -- it will be viewed as having been made with a liberal slant on it.

She obviously has no interest in taking my money and I no longer have any interest in giving it to her.

i understand that sentiment, but still disagree with it ... i don't have a problem with her liberal stances - she's hollywood and they're overwhelming liberal ... i think the movie's sentiment is that we need a courageous media ... whether that's what we have in your opinion is irrelevant - we still need one ...

she's got her double standards, same as everyone, including you and me ... anyone who applauded polanski's oscar has zero credibility regarding their statements about sexual harassment ...

and the pt stands - have you seen it?

Sorry, I thought I made myself clear that I have not seen it. I am not boycotting liberal Hollywood. But I certainly will not contribute to increasing her financial success.

Your making his point that people will view it as liberal before even seeing it. I’m really not understanding your argument here. You’re admitting that something could be very non liberal but people will view it that way without seeing it because a certain actress or something is in it, and that’s basically what the other poster said

Dude it's about this old world view of the 4th estate...and how they are just objective watchdogs.

That's what the movie is trying to re-enact and resell to a rightfully skeptical public.

I've done enough research, News was never objective but got overwhelmingly liberal in the 70's, 80's and 90's.

And then owned by Corporations - it just became sell the narrative like a TV show.

This movie reminds me of Morning Glory, living in the past and so outdated for today's climate.

I am not even a conservative person and the Post is insultingly liberal biased. frick a movie that paints them in any light that implies journalistic integrity.

Not sure where people are getting the liberal bias thing from. The historical part is pretty accurate. The movie is terrible just as a film.
