It's not liberal angle, it's media angle.

And pretending to be objective watchdogs.

They all have masters, as we all know...liberal, conservative. whatever.

This movie just seems way to reactionary from Hollywood - from Trump calling out the media.

Well their hero Hearst who blacklisted Orson Welles and Citizen Kane certainly didn't bother them. They allowed him free reign to sully Welles' name.

Lol, reading some of these comments leaves me convinced that most of you only have s problem with perceived propaganda when it comes from the left. Right wing propagsnda is treated like news.

The Washington Post is owned by Amazon, the most liberal-leaning organization in the country. They will not earn my money.

It's what you'd expect from a Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep self - important movie directed by Spielberg. Its not bad but I don't think I'll watch it again. Its not a complete liberal lovefest, JFK and LBJ take some hits but of course the main villain is Nixon, Hollywood's favorite boogeyman. Pretty decent movie with a good message and the most interesting scenes involve what all goes into making a newspaper on a technical level.

It was a good movie but nothing I'd run back to see. It certainly wasn't as biased as I thought it would be.

It was really good. Criticism is coming mostly from conservative hacks because they hate the press and freedom.

In the rush to get this film out, Speilberg has sacrificed tension and drama for a quick narrative. Good performances with only a little bit of self-serving humility. It is very relevant to the current situation but suffers from a lack of creative work and dedication. Surprising that they didn't take the time to make a great movie.

Fair points. A really good cast saves the movie. It engages some interesting themes about the media's complicity in the situation, although I would have liked to see more of that.

Meh, I’ve heard fair amounts of criticism from liberal type critics. Mainly that it’s just a pretty flat movie with no tension or drama that you’d expect

Yea that's true. As I said, strong points include the cast, their performances, and the intellectual themes the movie engages.

The major weak point is the dramatization of the story, and, to a lesser extent, the congratulatory tone of the film (towards the press).
