Arya
Jon
brienne
jaime
jorah

those are the ones with valyrian steel weapons
five people aren’t going to make a whole lot of difference

I continue to believe that two things will happen
1) they will get completely overrun at WF and lose the battle there
2) something will happen to or by the night king to make the wight army fall dead again

jorah - Nope. His ancestral sword is Long Claw. Jon tried to give it to him and he refused.

The obvious answer is Cersi ...who she'll kill with the blade ... and finish her off with the dragon glass when she rises as a white walker

Jamie has the other sword made from Ned's. The one originally made for Joffrey. ETA: "Widows Wail"

Hmmm, is it shown in the show that Jaime gets it from Joffrey (or after he dies)?

Or does he just have it, no explanation?

There was a scene with Tywin and Jamie where Tywin gives him the sword and Casterly Rock. Jamie rejected becoming the lord of Casterly Rock, but still got to keep the sword.

can she go undercover as a whitewalker to gain access to the night king?

That's been my crackpot theory for awhile, but I never really expected it to happen. I guess this makes it a little more likely that Arya will do some damage to the White Walkers and just maybe the Night King. But, it also doesn't seem like much of a stealth weapon so I think the undercover part may be less likely.

Sam has the Tarly ancestral sword

I really wish Olenna would have outlived everyone else on the show.

Ah okay, wasn't sure about that. In his little speech to Cersei when they bring back the wight he only mentions fire and dragonglass.

That makes sense though cause I'm guessing Valerian steel could be some sort of dragonglass/steel hybrid.

That was a legit take. There was a lot of discussions about whether Valyrian Steel killed the wights back in the day. Scenes from the show have pretty much shown that it does. Of course, no telling what the book will establish when they get to that point.

I didn’t get why Gendry made a big arse axe head from the glass. Wouldn’t thousands of spear points and arrow heads be a better use of the glass?

Because the Hound requested it.

I don't think everyone is trained for or competent with those weapons, some people would be more comfortable with a sword or an axe

Probably said that because there’s hardly any Valarian steel weapons.
