The Snowman…it’s a short animation and silent but the music and animation style are absolutely perfect; has a sad ending though.

A Muppet Christmas Carol may be the best version of Dickens' story.

Grumpy Old Men doesn't have Thanksgiving in it but you know the time frame because of the TV weatherman and his updates. Very skillful how they interject those into the story, BTW.

The movie has several Christmas scenes though. John has his heart attack on Christmas Eve while coming back from Slippery's. There are Christmas Eve scenes like when Mike shows up and Jacob using broccoli as mistletoe.

It's as much a Christmas movie as Die Hard is.

Give me the old animated shorts. The cartoon version of The Grinch is about as good as it gets. A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph are not far behind.

NOPE

Die Hard takes place over one night.. CHRISTMAS

therefore, it's a Christmas movie.

plus there are much better comedies in the 90's than Grumpy Old Men
