I like and own War of the Worlds.
But I am a fan of the radio drama and the original movie.
I don't get the hate for AI either.
I haven't seen The Post, but I heard that it's not good.
I didn't like War Horse all too much.

It's not that bad. But it is very lazy. I got pretty tired of parzival coming to an obscure clue/challenge that he luckily became an expert at one month before.
Yea, the book didn't bother me. Lazy for sure. The movie was exactly what I thought it would be. I think it was fine but I'm sure kids who play video games might think it is really bad arse.

I don't know why he's getting downvotes here. Kubrick had been sitting on AI for a decade-ish at the time of his passing. He didn't think tech could do what he wanted. Spielberg left most of Kubrick's vision in place, especially the ending.

Nowhere near enough hate for 1941. He specifically ruined that movie. What could have been.
By far his worst IMO

ANYONE not saying Crystal Skull is either full of shite or on crack that movie is a fricking travesty of a once great franchise. AI is underrated and I think many kind of miss the point. I was dating a woman with an autistic child at the time and the kid was so like him it was freaky. It is indefinably niche and not for everyone but no where near the clusterfrick that Crystal Skull was.

Crystal Skull
I thought Amistad was meh
A.I. would have been a masterpiece if it had ended with Haley Joel at the bottom of the ocean. But Spielberg Spielberged it up and turned it meh.
Whoever said E.T. should be fricking drawn and quartered.

Forgot about Crystal Skull.
I’m shocked someone said Minority Report, one of his best IMO.

The "go in reverse" is one of the dumbest things ever filmed. That would have been figured out in the very first race, and would not have taken 5 fricking years.
I read the book but haven’t seen the movie, and that already sounds stupid.
