Not enough wacky self depricating sarcasm from Ryan Reynolds. Not enough trying to act like Ryan Reynolds from Mac.

It won't make it until S3, but Paul Mullin finally got back in the game.

Well...S2E2 was heavy as frick.
That was tough...
Paul Mullin seems like a good guy.

We’re enjoying the show. For all the reasons already listed.
I feel like some of these episodes were created from the editing room floor more than a planned out season.

Isn't that how reality shows normally work?

You tell me. I don’t really know. Some of the episodes seem to have continuity between them and some are just out of nowhere. Like they just realized they had enough material to make 20 episodes instead of 15.
Most of those types are much less interesting to me. Like the soccer hooligan episode, shitty previous owner, tearing down the stadium, autism special, etc.
Not saying they were “bad”‘episodes. Just kind of a left turn away from what seemed to me to be a constant storyline.

One about Shaun's vacation was hilarious

Dorking (snicker) is a cool story.
Susan Lucci was interesting.

He must love his job. His vacation gets fricked because of an American millionaire and one person on the team that can’t read the room politically.

It honestly looks like Shaun's job is the thing he lives for.
Humphrey appears to be a miserable sot.
That said, Rob is a petulant child, and their TV broadcast laws are bullshite.
Can you imagine having to listen to your favorite team on the radio even though your stadium of 15k is a sell-out because... reasons?

No I couldn’t, especially with a sellout. I guess that’s another plus for the revolution. I can remember as a kid waiting to see if the Saint’s sold enough tickets for us to be able to watch it on tv. Does the blackout from local TV, if it’s not a sellout even still exist in today’s world?

Without the 1984 lawsuit filed against the NCAA by UGA and Oklahoma, that was the very path we were on for CFB.

This week's episode about the women's team was really interesting. The prison guard who's their leading scorer looks like Sporty Spice.
I still don't understand why they can't play at the Racecourse. They only play once a week on Sundays. Their current pitch looks like an old cow pasture.

there was a great quote last year after Mullin scored a hat trick and rob looked Paul in the eyes and said "Rosie would have scored 5".
She's a beast.

I'm much more invested in this show than I originally thought I might be.

It’s the ultimate underdog story. The only people that can’t relate are Lakers and Cowboys fans.

I hate that Rob is so fully-enmeshed with his Philly Eagles fandom that no one has made the connection between the passion of soccer fans and college football. They're perfectly parallel on a level that pro sports can't understand.

Why on earth didn't they give us the detailed breakdown of how big a deal the FA Cup was, last season? They totally glossed over that, even after playing so close at Wembley.
