We Own This City is an upcoming American miniseries based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton. Like the book, the miniseries details the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force and the corruption surrounding it. The miniseries was created and written by David Simon and George Pelecanos, and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green. The six-episode series is set to premiere on HBO on April 25, 2022.[1]

I'm in. Especially since it's a planned out miniseries and not a show that will go on for an unknown amount of seasons.

Mini series or one shots have become increasingly attractive in the last few years. Half the series I’ve watched this last year were specifically chosen because it was just one season.

It’s my favorite format. Long enough to tell a complete story. Not too long to repeat itself or get stale.

Simon will somehow blame all of Baltimore's crime on the police.

The Shield meets The Wire, except it really happened. I hope this miniseries delivers.

I thought it was solid. There was a scene where they said “You better hope Hillary wins. If Trump wins this is where good lawyers come to die. There is no way Trump wins, let alone gets a nomination.” That’s all I’ll say, but I got a chuckle out of it.

So is this set 6-7 years in the past? I assumed it was a "current" timeline show.

Hollywood just can't help themselves.. I thought it was a good show though and will keep watching.
SPOILER ALERT
If anyone can answer this for me, the dudes that robbed Anderson were cops, right?
