I think hes overlooked in the greatest ever category. If you watch the old Carol Burnet Show he couldn't keep Harvey Korman from laughing and breaking character every scene they were in.

No, but I like him.

People who worked with him say he was 10x funnier off camera, when he wasnt held down by a script and could do whatever popped into his head

He certainly found his niche on the Burnet show but he didn’t excel anywhere else and we live in a world that’s seen Charlie Chaplin, Peter Sellers, and Jim Carey.

he was funny on McHales Navy but strangely enough, I think Joe Flynn was actually funnier.

They made quite an effective team

Don Knotts was pretty good also. Leslie Nielsen should also be in the conversation.

There's Peter Sellers and then there is everyone else. I practically idolize Monty Python but none of them individually can hold Sellers whoopie cushion.

Not the greatest but underrated.

We need to pump the brakes on calling everything from the past The Greatest. Nostalgia is blurring some people’s memories.

As a child, I enjoyed the Tim Conway/Don Knotts movies. They were always a fall back at the VHS rental store.

I loved the guy, but no. He was funny in the niche he carved out for himself, especially doing those skits on the Carol Burnett Show as a regular on there.

The fact he was quick witted and was often off script adlibbing his parts made it all the more funny, but painful for some of his stage partners to deal with by never knowing what would come out his mouth next.

That is why he often had his fellow actors breaking role and losing it on set.

The Elephant Story

Watch it all the way until the end just to see Vicki Lawrence's reaction.

I've seen it several times already. One of my favorites is where Tim plays the new dentist with Harvey Korman as a patient in pain.

Korman probably pissed himself trying to keep from laughing in that one.
