First time i read about this and knew nothing i thought a mindy kaling helmed adult scooby doo show? That should be fun.
Sounds like i was very wrong. I've heard so much bad i haven't even wanted to give it a chance and the no scooby thing was just unforgivable to me.

Now everyone who hasn't watched it but has an opinion can parrot the key Velma talking points with confidence.

I will challenge anyone to watch the first 5 minutes of the first episode and see if they can’t guess every joke and plot point for the rest of the series history.

Mindy Kaling isn’t going to sleep with you, Bud.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't need to watch the show if she's changed it so drastically that it's not Scooby Doo.
Mindy Kaling was behind a lot of the success of The Office. I have nothing against her, and I didn't think The Mindy Project was bad. I enjoyed a few episodes.
But this is not Scooby Doo other than stealing the name. Scooby Doo is a kid's cartoon where the premise is hijinks and catching bad guys. Most of the theories on the gang are conjecture because little is revealed about their history or why they are in the situation they are in, which is part of the fun.
Taking Velma and creating a spin-off, changing the race of the characters, and then inserting your own fan theory with the help of a big budget isn't creative or talented, which we all know Mindy Kaling is.
It's unoriginal, it's hacky, it's pandering. That's the issue.

Well said.
I posted it because it was funny. Screen Rant has about 100 'pitch meetings' and they're worth a watch.
"Super easy! Barely a problem!"

People can avoid watching garbage and still know exactly what it is by interviews given by actors/showrunners and compiled clips.
This isn’t a hill to die on, but all you wokesters love to parrot this line

What about those of us that gave it a legit shot and had to turn it off after 3 minutes because of his cringe-inducingly bad it was?

I just caught this pitch Meeting. It was spot on.

Exec: In what way are these characters at all related to the originals?
Pitchman: Well, let's see...clothing....and...almost all their names.
Exec: Why not just make a completely original show then?
Pitchman: Well, because every project needs to be wrapped in some kind of pre-established intellectual property so it's less of a scary investment for you, baby.
This part is so sad but so true.

I enjoy all of them.
That and "Honest Trailers" are must-watches for me on the subscription feed.

Jesus Christ.
It’s “super easy, barely an inconvenience”
I got a niece a shirt with that catchphrase on it from watching screen rants
