Dumb things isn't the same thing as forcing gender politics in an established IP.
Seriously, stop pretending this discussion hasn't been recycled to death by now.

It's part of The Message. The greater push to infuse "the modern day" narrative into every god damn IP or established character, whether it's from 10, 100 or 1000 years ago.

I guess it depends on how you define it, but (of the top of my head) I cannot think of anything from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Lawrence of Arabia, Wizard of Oz (despite having a female lead)

I would say the gender politics of the time are reflected in it. Not that that is a problem. But to act like gender politics dont exist in the movie at all is kinda naive. Its just the gender roles we associate as being normal for that time, as with everything else ever created as well as real life history.

My point was pretty clear. Why dont you tell me how you picture a society with zero gender politics? Even animals have gender politics/hierarchy
Acting like they didnt exist until now is just purposefully naive

We have a political board if you wanna discuss political/philosophical movements but some people feel their need to try to force us into choosing a side in their dumb movements by posting it here.

I agree but yet here are again with another thread with politics in the title on the movie/tv board because someone associated with a movie said it
Are we not supposed to discuss gender politics in a thread with "gender politics" in the title? Id definitely vote in favor of moving the whole thread to the poli board.

They just need to sell off their IP for Marvel and Star Wars.
The only two legit buyers, Apple and Amazon, would pull the same shite

No it wasn’t, you’re playing a little game with “gender politics”.

No one ever said that, that’s your lie.

Do female animals pretend they are male animals? Do male animals pretend they are female animals?

Acting like a pseudo Marxist like you pretending that there is no difference is also naive.
Don’t be a hypocrite, embrace you delusional ideology, you’re not smarter than most people here. We get where you are coming from.

Apparently I am. My ideology is at least my own and not what someone else told me is real or isnt. The good lord blessed me with a brain so that i could observe and solve things on my own.
You on the other hand didnt even know about sexual mimicry in the animal kingdom until today.

Trans folk don't sneak into women's bathrooms to continue the species. They do it for their own fetish reasons.

Everyone uses YouTube. Most of us just dont subscribe to YouTubers and form/reaffirm our opinions of things based off of theirs.

Yep, and given the choice 90% of people like zilla would sacrifice their intelligence to keep their pride and remain ignorant.
He will see that video and rather than reassess his thoughts he will reform his existing POV to make it fit them and forget he was ever wrong.
