Idk if they are underrated or not, but i loved night court and Sanford and son's
My dad used to love to tell the story about being on the run down side of town leaving a shop and hearing the Sanford and son theme coming from someone's vehicle and wondering who the frick would be blaring that. Upon further inspection, it was me and he just shook his head and got out of there without acknowledging me. He used to laugh his arse off about that. :csb:

Parks and Rec because it's about 3 seconds long.
I hate binging sitcoms like King of the Hill and hearing the theme song at the end of the episode and then it comes right back on at the beginning of the next one.

Not underated but I don't think most people realize that it actually has lyrics...
Supposedly, Robert Altman told his son to write the dumbest lyrics that he could think of and he hammered them out in about 15 minutes.
I've always thought that the lyrics were pretty brilliant and it's a great sounding song.

I mean, people who watched the show when it came out definitely would have. But today, you’re right, these damn whippersnappers don’t know a thing
The tv show only had the instrumental version. The one with lyrics was for the film.

Season 2 of The Leftovers is the greatest theme song of all time. Im not a twang country guy but my God there has never been a more fitting theme song. Also doesnt hurt that S2 is one of the greatest seasons of any show ever.
Edit: Peaky Blinders is up there as well.

Yes, I have a feeling a fair amount of people who watched the show when I it originally aired would have see movie or know the original song.
