Not Disney, but does anybody remember this? Loved this movie, it was pretty scary to me as a kid though. Just read that they cut 11 minutes from the Japanese version so it could make a G rating. It was a pretty weird movie.

Never saw the Little Nemo movie but the NES game was pretty awesome.

The Great Mouse Detective was awesome. The Rescuers Down Under was really great too.

That's my jam.

Two great films that got pushed aside as the Disney fairy tale princess onslaught took over.

Vincent Price in TGMD is one of my favorite Disney villains.

Agreed. It isn't Disney (I think) but what about Rock-a-Doodle? I might need to watch it again to see if it still holds up.

And this movie is fricking awesome. Almost forgot about it since I haven't seen it since I was a kid (so maybe in my memory its just awesome) but I watched it over and over and over again as we had the VHS.

I still remember the ol' great clamshell packaging Disney had for its VHS tapes while everyone else just put them into a cardboard sleeve.

Moana. It's generally considered a good, modern princess movie.

The reality is that it is the greatest animated movie of all time.

I’m not huge into animated movies and I haven’t seen most of the recent ones like frozen or tangled, but I was floored by how good Moana is.

If someone wants to say it’s the goat Disney movie, I won’t argue it. The soundtrack is probably goat also (that or the lion king).

I tend to think of ll of the live action remakes Disney is making right now to be cashing in on nostalgia, and we're rewarding them for creative laziness. That said, the new Pete's Dragon really is amazing.

As for the the animated films, Princess and the Frog deserves to be on the same level as Moana and Frozen. It's terrific, with a top notch songbook.

As far as underrated soundtrack, I'm going Mulan.

I believe I read somewhere that Walt Disney was a big fan of Kurt Russell
