Rob Reiner -- the legendary director -- and his wife Michele Singer Reiner have died ... TMZ has learned.
As we told you ... two dead bodies were found in Rob and Michele's Brentwood home Sunday afternoon -- and law enforcement sources tell us it is the Reiners.
Our sources say the two suffered lacerations consistent with a knife. The LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division is still investigating.

Only director I know of that has directed 10/10 movies (Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally) and a 1/10 movie (North). RIP

It was only a matter of time after they confirmed it was his residence , and the two individuals matched the ages of him and his wife. I guess they wanted to let the word out without officially stating it? Hollywood is a weird place.
* literally zero cause for any DV. I said nothing which was remotely controversial here. Bunch of snowflakes on this board.

No 10/10 for A Few Good Men or Stand By Me?

He made some really good films here and there over the years.
He chose to get really heavily involved in really hateful and extreme political discourse so that's gonna dominate almost all the conversation surrounding his death unfortunately.
I can think his politics were vile and still think what happened was a tragedy.

Those are great movies, but those are in the 8-9/10 range for me. I think there's a fair case to have them 10/10 though since it's a matter of personal preferences.

I’m trying to find the source but it seems his son may have been taken into custody. I believe he had a severe mental illness.

Entertainment sites are saying the son was arrested as the suspect and their daughter found the bodies. The son had a history of drug abuse and homelessness.
