Twisted Metal (Peacock) - Based on the hit PlayStation video game from the '90s!!!

Starring Anthony Mackie
Synopsis: Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

I played that game so much, I still have the music run through my head from time to time.

Fun game but if I remember it was really “twisted.”
If you won, you got what you wanted but it ended terribly for your character.
ETA: at least they’re including sweet tooth. I’ll give them that.

Twisted Metal 2 pvp is top 3 for me. Up there with original Halo on XBox Connect and Vanilla WoW.

Well I gotta see what they do with this. Twisted Metal 2 was one of the best games on PlayStation. The first one was also a ton of fun.

Apparently the writers of Deadpool are doing this. Could be pretty decent.

Makes sense. No need for set design. Smart

For a car demolition game, I remember the stories being pretty well done for all the available cars. I'm intrigued.

Is this finally going to be released? I only worked a few days on it, but it feels like forever ago.

Every time i think i wanna cancel peacock a new show or a movie basically still in the theaters pops up.
They really get a lot of horror movies too. It's cheap might as well keep it.
I played the hell out twisted metal 2 after school with friends. Easily my favorite.

Many a college christmas break was spent on marathons of TM2. Greatness. I was either Slam or Grimm.

Mr. Grimm was my #1, but also loved Thumper and Shadow.
