Also knowing the who, what, when, where, how of the disease would be nice to know.

Didn't they come out early on (like when it first started airing) and say that they weren't gonna get into the whole "how did it happen" thing and more focus on dealing and adjusting to the situation as-is? I swear I thought I remembered that happening that they weren't even planning on explaining much about the origins of what caused everything..

They absolutely did this. Greg Nicotero talked about it either on The Talking Dead or at one of the ComicCon panels. They basically used the CDC episode(s) to move past that point and let you know that there is no cure.

Some of the best episodes on season 3, clear and this sorrowful life, were written by Scott gimple who is now the current showrunner. it will be A LOT better

Clear was a very good episode... one of the better ones (if not the best) since the first season. I am happy to hear the writer for that episode is now the showrunner.

The writing and acting have been downright bad at times, I really don't see how that is even up for debate.

I call a spade a spade and outside of Clear the past 2 seasons just haven't been very good. That doesn't make me a hipster. I hope this season is good.

Yes, they've said that, doesn't mean I can't wish they would go in that direction. And just so it's clear, my biggest complaints on a week to week basis usually involve lazy writing. I enjoy TWD, I just think there's a lot more of this universe that should be explored.

True, I'm just saying that to gripe about that (not saying you are) is silly when they've said from the beginning that it's not gonna happen.

I don't disagree with that.

They are doing another show that is set in the same universe as the Walking Dead but focuses on another location with different survivors, circumstances, location etc.

I am hoping they set it in an urban setting like Los Angeles or New York.

The Walking Drama

because it's certainly not about zombies anymore.

Michonne could have been better but she more or less lived up to the expectations built for her

I was really disappointed in Michonne. I never read the comics so I don't know how she was in those, but she's a pretty worthless character to keep around unless you need her to kill some zombies

Another example of some wanting "actual" ZA type of atmosphere/decisions, while others want better plot or subplots.

It is really hard to have both when most people watching this show have their own opinions about the ZA. Which is why I think it is so easy for people to bash TWD and act like Breaking Bad is the second coming of Jesus Christ

For those people complaining about the landscape being too narrow...you will be pleasantly suprised when we get finished with the governor saga this season

Guess I'm the minority.

I liked the third season.

The governor was a cool character. With development.

How did the critics on this board want the season to end?

I just don't understand why she has 0 character development.

They bring in this mysterious badass with endless possibilities on how the develop her and they did nothing. That was probably my biggest gripe with last season.

I'm with you

They've done great with developing a lot of characters, the Governor, Glenn, Daryl, Merle, hell, even Andrea at some points. Even if she was an annoying count an overwhelming majority of the time we've at least seen some internal conflict with her.

We haven't seen shite about Michonne, which is why I'm so pissed about it

That isn't true. She talks about how she used to be a lawyer before the ZA. It also comes out that she knew her "pets" before the ZA.
