Clark just ran into him and learned to survive with him or something,
Im pretty sure Clark said outright that he sought out Otis because he knew he survived Annie and wanted to know how he did it.
But like my above post, Clarks injuries (eyes, ears) happened before Annies death, by like 10-15yrs

The storm wasn't bad enough for them to not go out there, but was to rough to get in another vehicle and drive out?
Also, no one from the Research group came back after the men had died? They were just like f@ck it, we have literally invested millions of dollars in time, equipment, and research we are just not going to send a new crew?

Pointing out major plot holes is a trait of toxic masculinity

Don’t waste your time dude. 6 hours of my life I’ll never get back.
Just rewatch the first season.

Vox Review
Here's an actual honest review of the finale (most reviewers want to give it a pass even though it was terrible).

What an absolute cluster of a show. You can the writers thought they were really smart and edgy with all the bs they pulled in the finale.
The "suprise" head shot of Hank and Wheeler is a straight rip off of season 1.
The whole Navarro might walk out into the ice thing was just dumb and forced.
The Danvers with her dead kid in an accident again a direct rip off of season 1.
Covering up murder and official statements not matching the truth. Direct ripoff of season 1.
The women army forcing the men onto the ice with them not even attempting to fight back against certain death makes zero sense.
The cleaning lady finding the hatch and solving the murder like fricking batman in minutes.
The almost freezing to death when they have perfectly good trucks with heaters. Also why did the power go out at all and why did the backup generator not work.
Just an awful season. I'll just go back and watch season 1 for the 100th time to get the bad taste of this joke out of my mouth.

Also, WHY IN THE BLUE frick DID NO ADDITIONAL SCIENTISTS COME TO TSALAL?
Just frick it, let’s abandon our near billion dollar facility and investment?
AND WHY THE frick DID TWIST AND SHOUT KEEP PLAYING?

Tuttles yo... they were too busy diddling kids in Louisiana.
NOTHING from Season 1 that was grasped onto in an effort to legitimize and reel people in served any purpose.
Rust's dad - nope
Carcosa - nope
Tuttles - nope
All could have been left out and it would have been slightly less shitty.

Truthfully I think it was at least partly symbolic of the corpsicle. Them guys twisted and shouted their freezing heads off. (Or arm off)

Literally just trying to ride the coat tails of season 1. This entire season was how can we ride the coat tails of season 1 but made it feminine and edgy. We could write a better season in a day after taking mushrooms. Just horrible.

thats a great call... how was the stereo on again? Danvers ripped it out day 1.
So unless Clark put it all back together for some reason.
Or Flat Circle? They are back to Day 1

Very good review. Even brings up how this failed to be a feminist story and references other options within the genre.
I still do not get all of the "Toxic masculinity" bullshite about season 1. Rust and Marty are not good guys and they are not portrayed as good guys. You can kind of argue that Dadarrio was a weak female character, but she breaks it off with Marty on her own based on Marty being a piece of shite (before he attacks her for being with another guy). Marty's wife is a pretty dense character who goes back and forth with Marty. She's not just some projection of male lust. I think because the women are not perfect in the face of Marty and Rust's toxicity, that it's not seen as being enough for those types. The fact that female characters are flawed means that the male writer hates women.
The only one that is really a sex object is the young girl that Marty saves who ends up seducing him. But, even then, that works because Marty shows that his POS nature is real and true, and it shows realized trauma of sexual abuse at young ages. However, relying on a cute girl as a sex object to lure Marty into sin is a mysoginistic presentation so I'll give them that ONE example.
Throughout that show, the minor female characters are victims of toxic men, and that is never hidden or shied away from. Even when they go to the swamp brothel, it's made clear the Sheriff protects it because he owns a piece of it. I don't think that anyone is assuming a rural Sheriff in south LA in 1995 was a female.

Also….a bit of TD trivia… Who first said “Time is a flat circle”?

I agree with Marty but Rust was portrayed as flawed yet a good man with integrity. He certainly did bad things but ultimately he was always after the truth and justice. Even after Mags came on to him and he gave in, the regret was instant. Rust had his weaknesses but he was a good man.

Damnit. I guess you just proved they had a point.

Maybe but I don't give a shite what some activist thinks about a tv show. Men do bad things in real life. Women do bad things in real life. The woke buzz words for those things don't really mean anything. Pure bull shite.

Haven't seen S4 yet, but is it worse than S2? which I didn't hate as much as everyone (but realize it had many flaws).

Would you too quit bickering over toxic masculinity and get back to bashing this shite season...
Please and thank you
