HBO has jumped the shark.

This season had a higher RT score than season 1.
Woke Hollywood destroys everything.

Saw this on Reddit. Very true:
The only True Detectives this season were the ones who found Navarro’s sister in an hour, without ID, in the dark without being reported missing

Ok, slept on it and nothing has changed.
fricking terrible, seriously, thats how they tied it all together?
No explanation of the tongue? No explanation of tuttles, carcosa?
WTF, how anyone could think that was even in the same universe as S1 blows my mind.

Why did the CGI elk run off a cliff?

Why did the CGI elk run off a cliff?
A few questions:
- Go into an ice cave without equipment and no way out?
- Danvers was going to let Navarro kill Clark before even asking him about the scientists and what happened?
- Why did the elk run off the cliff? Relevance?
- Carcosa, why even there and clark obsessed with it in the motorhome?
- Why were the tuttles funding the research?
- What happened to the guy in cabin, he just disappeared?
- Was Annie a demon or what?
- Who was the baby in the room when they killed Wheeler? They didn't have that earlier and were very focused on the babies cries.
I could prob go on for an hour.

So they wouldn't have to watch the show

Why did Navarro kill herself after finally being awakened to her native heritage? Or was that always her middle name? She said it for the first time ever and Danvers didn’t blink an eye yet they made it seem as if it was an epiphany she had in her death-land visit?

Or what about the flash of someone being in the background when Navarro is trying to get the generator on... Annie? So she was alive
Or more terrible cinematography and it was all in her head, but she doesn't see it.

Y'all aren't asking the right questions.
What the hell did the heroin addict German guy have to do with, literally, anything?
Was this a previous cleaning lady uprising?
Was he just a random guy who had the same injuries who Clark ran into years later?

Oh I forgot this one.
They're looking at a map of the cave system and didn't realize that Tsalal research station was about 100-200 yards away? Didn't make that connection? Even if we're talking in terms of magic and editing and they walked miles...it was an isolated station in the middle of nowhere in the middle of nowhere.
Great
fricking
Detecting

Why did the one surviving scientist not implicate the cleaning ladies? And why did he apparently share the same delusions as
Clark re: Annie?
Clark re: Annie?

Let's rank the true detectives of the show
1. Annie K. She figured out a huge multinational conspiracy based off of a few notes in a notebook and learning science after she somehow found the secret lab within the secret lab.
2. The cleaning lady. Figured out that the secret lab had a secret lab and had her ladies organize to gather evidence by using their cell phones to take pictures of the evidence and finding intricate clues like the murder weapon (which also required the underlying detective work to know what made the murder weapon unique).
3. Peter Prior. Did almost literally all of the police detecting, from using the Face ID to get into the phones to all of the off screen detecting that kept Danvers doing something more than looking at pictures and fricking dudes, and Navarro looking at her sister and fighting dudes.
123. Danvers
374. Navarro. Didn't do jack fricking shite.

Something I saw reading the Reddit thread that dropped my memory that I thought about in real time. If they're freezing to death and there's multiple trucks available why not just get in the truck and turn on the heater? Amazing detecting. Regular Sherlock Holmes stuff.
I wish I was able to watch this in real time and post with y'all but that was not possible. However part of what I was doing was re-watching episode 1 and 2 with my mother-in-law and it really is insane how much promise the show started off with only to fall off a cliff on three and then fall into the Marianas trench on six
