Is Leah, Jodie fosters “daughter”?
Is is sad we are 4 episodes in and I don’t even know the characters names?
Also, Jodie is a gigantic softie when it comes to parenting. The kid graffitied the mining company and she doesn’t even say anything , confronted by yet again, someone else in towns wife who’s husband she fricked and then allows her to run away with her friend

Is the show getting any better? I watched the first couple of episodes and was just bored. If it weren’t called True Detective, I can’t imagine this show would have much of an audience. I wonder if they would bring back Rusts character since it takes place in Alaska.

Also, the door to Connelly's motel/hotel room is inconsistent. When Danvers knocks on the door, it's depicted as the exterior door of a house. Yet when they enter Connelly's room it's clearly just a standard hotel door. Makes no sense.

I had to go back and check that one out. I fast forwarded through that scene to keep my blood pressure down lol.

Rose isn’t listed in being in any more episodes after last night.
However, the sketchy cleaning lady that was interviewed about the research lab and whose boyfriend beat her is set to be in episode 6. She is listed in the cast with 2 names. Blair Hartman and Blair Frechette….just saying.
Additionally some are saying that the hand/fingerprints found at the corpsicle crime scene has two missing digits from someone's right hand. Blair lost 2 fingers in a factory accident we’re told.

There seems to be a lot of connected mysticism in this show and my guess is in one of her visions she knew that by placing her clothes that way it could help point her sister in the right direction per the investigation.

Why wouldn’t you give that revelation to one of the leads? Have Navarro convince Danvers with actual detective work. Not have the fourth main character call in a veterinarian

I believe that Danvers ordered him to have the vet come look because the medical examiner would take too long and Danvers was updated on his assessment.

Thats a great question... I don't think we've seen her speaking with anyone else. I think it was referenced that she was the one that called in, but no on screen with anyone else except Rust's dad, which was a flashback.
When Navarro and Danvers went out on the ice for the first time to see the frozen bodies, did Danvers say anything to her when she walked by Rose?

I'm going to quickly make my prediction on how this settles out now:
Annie got killed because she found a cave with native artifacts that would have forced the mining company to stop mining. The artifacts have to do with Sednah (sp?) a female Eskimo god of death or something - that's the "she" this is woken up. All the visions have to do with toxins the mine has dug up, or possibly bacteria related to the research station's studies, which is how they get tied in. There is probably a heavy concentration of these toxins/bacteria in those ice caves making everyone who goes there crazy. The research team were all exposed, maybe from going there, after Clark told them "she" woke up, and the madness sent them out on the ice to die.

That doesn’t explain Annie’s tongue being at the research facility. There’s going to be a murderer behind this which is why they highlighted someone cutting the power at both scenes in the last ep. Danvers guessed at a generator in the ice cave but my guess is the ice cave is below the research facility which is why we didn’t hear a generator on Annie’s video.

This just feels like a modern mystery novel. Only focused on the characters and very little to the mystery. And their trick with the mystery is is the shock factor and supernatural. The detective work is just completely on the back burner.

I had high hopes for this. Hell, I've defended it every week. But that was absolute garbage. Who is this Otis guy? Why the focus on him early- what did I miss? And his few lines at the end were something out of a Goosebumps episode.
Not that it matters. Through 4 episodes, Season 4 is making Season 2 look like Season 1 in comparison.
