Dumb last episode and subpar season overall. The one person that needed to die in the show (Rachel McAdams) survived.

Frank's death was disappointing, especially given his character development. After all that forethought and to be taken out by a fairly unsophisticated gang, disappointing. Thought he would have been smarter about getting out and hiding the diamonds... maybe keistering?

Yeah. I was going to say it was a swing and a miss. But you put it more coherently.
I actually liked the acting, even those actors a lot of people disliked. And I loved the noir feel. But the story just wasn't fricking there. And since that's the basis of everything, the positive stuff just couldn't overcome it.

The way Frank went out was so fricking dumb. If he had just kept his mouth shut they would have left him out there and he could have walked to civilization. But nah. Story writers needed a reason for him to be killed.
