And later in the series we learn why they are looking at him so hard...maybe it was because they had pictures of him at the Lake Charles crime scene and eyewitness accounts of a guy fitting his and his truck's description in the area before the murder.
Has his possible presence in the immediate area before the murder been addressed as of yet? That certainly might need to be tied up before the end. Though, he could have just been there tracking down leads on a recently missing girl that ended up being that dead girl.
I really think people are reading far too much into some of the stuff on this show, as has been said a bunch.
I think the two biggest unanswered questions left in the series are: did Marty put it in Beth's butt? and was she speaking the truth when saying she never took it in the butt being the former underage prostitute that she was?

She drew dicks as a five year old and they've made a point to say she needs a shrink. I think we will find out specifics, personally.

Watching e3 now, shite (future Iberia Sheriff) Geraci told Maggie about Marty beating up her lovers boyfriend (or something about the infedility).

Why was Marty telling Maggie "Thank You" when he went to visit? That was really the only thing confusing to me when watching.

Seriously? I think you misheard or are trying to find something that isn't there. Maggie was looking for Marty and called the station. Geraci covered for Marty by saying he needed help on a case he "caught" and that is why Marty is not home with his wife. Bro code... She called Rust to see if the case Geraci caught was legit, and Rust's said he wouldn't know if that is true because no one else likes him in the department, but doesn't confirm that Marty is cheating or anything.
Comprehension is something you should look in to getting.

It seems odd to me he walked directly to the mantle/pictures when he got up from the couch to leave Maggie's house.

It's as if he thinks that will be the last time he sees her. Maggie seems to have gotten that impression. Does Marty think he is going to die?

Just watched Ep 7. I thought it was odd of Marty to stand up and walk over to the mantle like he did when he kept thanking his ex. I guess maybe he thinks he's going to die for looking into this case again? Am I understanding correctly that spagetti monster is lawnmower man with the burnt face?

I think Marty knows there's going to be a big risk taking on this case again. And yes, the man with the scars=lawnmower guy. I didn't know you watched this show iluv.
