There was one tin can woman on the ground right?

Would love to hear your theory on how both Marty and Rust during a car ride both switch back to the same clothes they had on earlier in the week.
Go!

I highly highly doubt it is the preacher.
There was something off about him. When he found out about the girl he prayed then made the sign of the cross, but it was in reverse.

Based on the way, I believe, Pizzalato describes Marty's character, there is no way he is the killer, or involved.

Of course it was.

The interviews are being shown in chronological order, but they did not tell the story in chronological order. Its really not that hard to figure out.

Best explanation yet. Can we put it to bed now.

So are they wearing the same clothes combinations over and over or are they not telling the story in chronological order? You've given two explanations. Or are they telling the detectives it happened in a certain order but it didn't really happen in that order.

I think NPis trying to deceive us, regardless of his claim to the contrary.
Good storytellers lie, misdirect, embellish, but they want you to buy into it in the end.

It is both, you imbecile. It truly cracks me up that you are wasting time analyzing their attire. You are the True Detective.

I bet your last e-name is "Evitee"
Decatur Evitee, what shirt and tie did you wear to spaghetti dinner 17 years ago?

I'm beginning to wonder if there is even going to be a big Scooby Doo style "And I would've gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you two meddling detectives!" reveal at all.
Obviously the killer(s) will be revealed and it may have even been someone we've seen but I don't know if we'll be able to go back and have been able to piece the clues. The whodunit is just the premise for us to get to know the detectives.

NP messing with the timeline would be consistent with the idea in TD that "time is a flat circle"

I'm starting to think no.
I think there will be scandalous people involved, but I don't think it's going to be this big reveal who done it.
