She was about 8 when Dora was killed.
Dora wasn't the first. All of the "made in error" entries hints at that.

Marty isn't a mastermind for random premeditation but he and others can clean up a mess
Rust can clean up a mess. Marty can't. That was proved by his freak out after killing Reggie. Rust took the lead on making their cover story look believable.

I've watched every episode and paid close attention. However, I still feel like i'm missing a whole lot.
You guys bring up some great idea's/theories.

People are looking too far into things in some regard. I think we will have a few surprises but the church will be the evil people who are killing.

Meh, the preacher is tall, but he does not fit the scarred face description at all, nor does he match any "spaghetti montster" description.
I highly highly doubt it is the preacher. When Cohle and Marty go to the tent revival church, there are girls that tell them about the "tall man with the scars" that was bending over talking to Dora. They did not know this man by name. They know the preacher well.

The tall man was Reggie. He was 6'7"

Reggie had no scars and his tattoos would have been describable. If a dude showed up to that tent revival with a damned "666" tat on his neck, every person in the audience would have been able to describe him to a T.

Anybody see the yellow crown Patton Oswalt tweeted about? Very interdasting. Not sure what it means, but everything means something in this show.
Yes, they should definitely interview the proprietor of that roadside diner. Probably serving yellow corn and yellow cake and king crab and deer meat. GUILTY!

Reggie ledoux's arrest report said he was 6-7.

Swap out grandpa with the deputy there at the suicide. Relative of sheriff.

So you're basing you're theory on shirt/tie combos?
Because no cop ever rewore the same shirt and tie.

No way, too easy, too generic.

You can check it out for yourself
Obvious continuity issues are obvious

And they never worked all night and wore the same clothes two days in a row when they find a ritualistically murdered victim. I am so glad that I am not as dumb as Decatur.

That dude was about 5'5"
but also had facial scarring... similar circumstances to the tall man with scarring. Are we assuming that Ledoux was not the tall man seen with Dora? I didn't think that he had scars when we saw him.

How do you account for the increased involvement that Marty has in Promise Keepers? There are several actors listed as Promise Keepers and Marty told Maggie that he is getting into Promise Keepers now. Marty is one sick complicated dude if he is as evil as you claim he is.
