Im thinking this is the case. Not necessarily a teacher but someone that hasn't been introduced yet.
This is the same girl that at a young age was drawing nude photos in her journal and now has just been caught with two dudes in the back of a car. Also, I don't get the vibe that she is a member of any cult [yet]. She looks like your typical outsider teen that dresses in dark clothing.

I don't think she has been exposed yet. But will. She matches the description the grandpa makes and has really make Marty upset over this. Marty is a weak person. Has shown this many times. I really have no clue what will happen

The five male dolls over the female doll, the drawings at school. She was pretty damn young to just know about that type of thing. Maybe she knew about it because it's happened to her. Leads her from a troubled childhood to a troubled teen

they've done a good job for half of the story. there is still another half of the story to tell, imho
They've told a large part ofthe new story all along. We just dont know which parts of what's been told are relevant. The back story is already created, so telli g the story of the Lake Chuck murder should be quick.

Or watched it happen.

Haven't watched yet. Is this episode better than the last?
Yes - the storyline is sped up and we start to see a big picture glimpse of what's going on.

"Girls always know before boys" ... "Why?" ... "Because they have to!"--Maggie & Marty's conversation during Episode 3

Grandfather? how did you come to this?
He's appears to be rich so people want to put him in the "cult." I think Marty's daughter was molested at some point. The naked barbie surrounded by men, the sex drawings at a young age, banging 2 dudes in a car as a teenager. All those acts make it seem clear to me that someone molested her. And I think that's something that will relate to the case that Marty missed because of his inattentiveness. I don't think it's as tidy as the grandfather though.
Also SFP has been on the "there aren't enough episodes to wrap this up" since episode 3. Look at how quickly the plot progessed in the last 2 epsiodes, I don't think progressing the story will be a problem. They could have flashbacks up until the last episode showing Rust has figured out who the killer is and this new case is his opportunity to finally pin the murders on the right guy. The progression of story so far hasn't been solve case A, tell why Rust and Marty fell out, THEN move on to case B. It's always been 1 case to Rust and I'm pretty sure the next couple of episodes will show the work he has done since 2005 to solve the thing.
And I really wish Decataur would stop trolling these threads.

I think Audrey represents what people like the Tent Reverends/Billy Lee Tuttle/Marty's dad are trying to fight against. The Yellow King occultists are just extremists of kids like Audrey.
I'm guessing Audrey is just be used as a device to split up Marty and his wife, with the added benefit of representing the other side in the Holy War (and how someone can fall onto that side easily at any age).

She matches the description the grandpa makes and has really make Marty upset over this.
quote:Marty is the kind of person that disconnects from someone who has crossed a line sexually. Examples: Telling the girl at the bunny ranch to find a different line work and giving his two cents to the madam who manages the ranch day to day. Also, once he had found out crazy pussy had giving that dude oral. He was done with her.
Marty is a weak person. Has shown this many times.

Which, to me, points to some kind of molestation or abuse. Acting out sexually at a young age is sometimes a result of that. I just think there is too much emphasis on her and her sexuality for it to be nothing more than a typical outisder.

I think she's easily influenced by other girls and always has been. Now could that lead to her joining some kind of sex cult? Possibly. She's already been slapped by her father and called "a member of the slut team". I just don't buy the creepy grandfather theory.

In the teaser a little girl says he made her watch. I think that is what happened to Marty's daughter.

What I was thinking.

Also, wouldn't Maggie be a bit more damaged in the '12 timeline if her own father molested her oldest daughter?

Makes me think back to the bible verse mark 1:41, about being cleaned. Prostitutes and now he thinks his daughter is a whore.

I don't think this is the case. Just that she was molested by someone that might be related to the case, a teacher at her school, a neighbor, etc... Something that's right underneath Marty's nose but he was looking elsewhere.

Yeah, I don't see how the grandfather would be involved. Maggie definitely isn't involved.

exactly. MArty has the ability to lose control as we have seen repeatedly.

there are solid clues that point to marty being involved, but it doesn't make sense for a bunch of other reasons
"the shadow" on rust = marty
marty bagged a 10 point
all the stuff with his daughter, etc
but there is a lot of shite that he does that doesn't fit. like, not letting rust stay outside the compound to go back and warn ledoux, etc. going on that COMPLETELY illegal, and more importantly risky, run to beamont. the excitement re: finding out about ledoux's old drug charges while rust is interviewing the guy on the mower at the school.
