they've done a good job for half of the story. there is still another half of the story to tell, imho
The first story was solved in 4 hours 15 minutes roughly. 3 hours plus should be plenty enough time for the second half IMO

A few scenes have been posted on reddit [removed quickly] & Tumblr had a few screenshots.

Not getting a bet from me, especially on this show

Well I think there will be an episode without flash backs too, but I don't think there's going to be some crazy mind-blowing plot twist. We've had our minds blown the whole series and it hasn't been on the back of cheap plot tricks, but just expert plotting.

the "past" isn't done. we still don't even know what caused the falling out or the end of the "2002" storyline
it looks like all of next ep will be the same (interview in present + flashbacks). that leaves 2 hours

What's up with the picture of Dora Lang and the guys on the horses at her mother's home in the second episode. They had hoods on like clan hoods but black.

Two observations from the trailer:
-Billy Lee Tuttle is wearing a yellow tie and a yellow thing in his chest pocket.
-Rust has a map in his home in 2002 with murder locations pinned

that and creating a character that isn't realistic who is mainly there to chew scenes, but i won't get into that again
i made that argument irl last night and it pissed somebody off

Maybe so, but the amount of information we've learned the last 2 hours leaves me more optimistic that they will have enough time

quote:it's my opinion that Rust has never given up on the case. He may even follow certain people out of state. Now he's back in LA, showing up at crime scenes and probably building a case since '02.

New events in the present came to light in this episode.
The show is about the writing. We're not going to be wowed by anything fancier than what's wowed us all along--the writing.
Good review here if anyone is interested.

Only reason I ask is because Rust looked back at it a couple times.

I think he got scared and went off grid after the antlers got placed in his house. Probably dumped his chick to know her safe as well.

They seemed to make a big deal about it zooming in. Looked creepy to me, but I'm not that familiar with LA culture.

I don't think the show is going for "realism" a la the Wire, nor should it have to. The guy isn't there to chew scenes....his scenes are the point of the show. Again, the show's greatest strength is the writing.

I think she probably caught on to how f*cked up Rust is in some ways. But, I do see what you are saying. Rust could get so deep into this case that the "Big People" may get to him.

Did anyone see a "spiral brand" on Ledoux's back as described by Charlie Lang? All I saw was an upside-down pentagram with a goat devil in it.
