I would be surprised if this movie wins any awards. I think they just nominated it to get Mel to come to the show and have to listen to three hours of them shitting on Republicans, Trump, and white people. This is nothing but an elaborate troll job by the academy.

Just watched Gibson on that Close Up with the Hollywood Reporter round table show on Sundance. He's still out of it. If he gets up to accept an award, strap yourself in. It's going to be insane.

Well, since this is a world renowned actor, someone who has put out some great movies throughout his time, and what he did was although drunk and racist, not a crime like im sure you pin on lots of other people in that crowd.
