I thought it was really good until that ending. It turned into a Disney cartoon all of a sudden in the final scene

Acting and dialogue was top notch before that tho

It was very out of place, kind of surprised it didn't end with a freeze frame of Abbie and Hayden high fiving.

I really enjoyed the rest of the movie.

Yeah it almost felt like a John Hughes 1980s teen coming of age ending

Even the writers of kid sports movies would be like “let’s take down the cheese just a notch Aaron”

Sorkin just can’t help himself if there isn’t a good director to put a lid on the sorkin writing before it becomes too much.

ETA I also didn’t care much for JGL in this. He seemed like a high school kid in a school play in this. Never felt like a real person

But overall up until that final scene it was an 8 or 9 out of 10

Seale should have been completely removed from the court room. The prior day he actually attacked a federal marshall in the court room.

Actually they should have shot him on the spot.

Amen

I would have pulled my side arm. Hoffman had the patience of a saint.

You’ve got some life re-evaluation to do if you took Hoffman’s side in this

Which Hoffman?

Let the record show, they are not related.

He was easily the worst part of the main cast.

Wanting to protect the right to due process isn’t revisionist history

So you are suggesting a man being denied his right to counsel and further denied the right to act pro se in his own defense should just bend over cuck up and take it. Maybe that is what you would do, I don't know.

Judge Hoffman was a glaring example of the worst to sit on a US bench.

I love when there's a guy who shows up who thinks he's the only one around who knows the real version of an historical event. It's never the version that you can read about in old papers or read or watch in thoroughly researched texts and documentaties. I imagine it's a version made up by an idiot that's been passed down through generations and generations of internet idiots. But those idiots, they're the only ones who have the truth, somehow.
