Nothing wrong with it being new in the film but how do you explain it having the front filled in
... huh?
For as long as I have been alive, I have heard that Falcon referred to as an "illegally modified YT cruiser."
I always imagined one of those "illegal modifications" is putting a giant weapon system at the front of a cargo ship. You know, like putting a canon on top of an 18 wheeler?

I was about to post the same thing. The ship was designed that way for a reason. Not sure why they fricked with something else.

Maybe we get to see it modified in the film.

You’re over it? But you’re still posting and bitching on every page of every thread referencing Star Wars since tLJ came out?

this isn't a last jedi thread
No shite. That’s doesn’t make what I posted any less true.
You’ve been all over every thread I’ve looked at bitching since it came out. Doesn’t matter if it’s tLJ related or not
As for the rest of your post, you could go apply to be a writer for Disney if you think you know the best way to take the franchise. Or remake your own and have Fox’s Star Wars Eps 7-9. Otherwise get the frick over it
You and all the other Star Wars obsessions and bashing the past 2 months have made this board change from the first place I would check for movie/tv news to the last.

By Horus. The Egyptian god that Christians stole the story from.
This is what happens when you watch at best poorly researched and at worst purposely false youtube conspiracy videos and don't do research yourself. I am not Christian, but even know this one is full of shite.

I was impressed by the trailer

To us, famous to us...the audience
I mean at one time the ship was new.. Possibly they are wanting to show the audience how the Falcon progressed into said hunk of junk.
quote:
it won’t look cool which is why people, normal people, dig it
What?? The legends account of the Falcon is only that it has been a problem ship from the day it was created.. In legends this ship nearly destroyed the factory it was being built in , thus the start of its finicky existence.. Even a casual fan would appreciate a 1-2 min snippet of backstory on that.
quote:
One line really sums up the appeal... “it’s the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” it’s a total piece but in an endearing way like the guy who names his 30 year old piece of shite car People in the movies are never impressed but the owner thinks she’s a beauty...and so does the audience in this case because space ships aren’t real so we don’t know any better.
You're really reading entirely too far into this now.. I was merely stating that the line was simply a haha moment for fans.. that's it.. nothing more.

Nah dude have you been reading this board at all? Seriously? The guy that was an ensemble character in a relatively unknown short lived cult comedy who also made a CD almost no one listened to and is in the background of one scene in Spiderman is the most dominant and talented and charismatic human to ever exist in Hollywood.
