First Star Wars movie I was old enough to watch in the theater. I know it is not as good as the first two but I've always viewed it through nostalgia as my Star Wars movie. Even though I can't be objective about this movie your critique seems kind of exaggerated.

The Throne Room scene is simply awesome. I also liked Jabba's Palace. The space battle was sweet as well.

Sadly the rest of it was a sign of things to come and keeps Star Wars from being a perfect trilogy. Granted the thing that pisses me off most about the movie (not killing Han) was completely redeemed by TFA.

I have to respect the hate, even though I don't share it.

But, even as terrible as you think this film is - The Cartoon Menace, Send in the Clones and Revenge of the Whiny-arse Punk Who Claims to be Darth Vader, but is in fact, Not - are so bad, they aren't fit to usher at a cinema where Jedi is showing.

THAT'S how bad the prequels were. I'm reserving judgment on TFA simply because Abrams is dead to me and I'm never going to watch a single minute of it.

Good luck with your hate, though, Fox. Nothing like a good hate to keep you warm.

Yoda's final speech and death scene? That alone makes it better than any Star Wars film that followed it.

Yeah, it was cheesy. Yeah, it was kiddie with the Ewoks. But I'm willing to overlook small flaws like that. Overall, the Endor scenes were good. Looked good, the speeder bikes, etc. There was more right about Jedi than wrong, all due respect to Fox's hate.

I'm not a huge fan of Return of the Jedi, I think it is pretty low on the totem pole of Star Wars films. Although I do consider the Luke and Darth Vader II to be the best saber fight in the series.

That was clearly shoehorned in, and Lucas has admitted to this. Yoda was not in the first draft at all.

By far the weakest of the three.

The dungeon master crying over his dead pet. :(
The robots being "tortured". :(
The slapstick at the sarlak. :(
The Ewoks :(

It ranks 3rd out of the original trilogy but it's by no means a bad film.

I am ok with someone saying it isn't as good as Star Wars or Empire, but it is definitely not a POS. Attack of the Clones is the only POS.
