What I've watched from this list:
quote:

Titans
Doom Patrol
The Peripheral

What I was aware of, and considered at some point
quote:

Pennyworth
Perry Mason
Willow
National Treasure

First note, it seems like the DCU is going bye bye; Titans and Doom Patrol being out. They were interesting for awhile, but I got bored and never finished them.

Pennyworth seemed somewhat interesting, but that's also an obscure sidenote to DC stuff.

Perry Mason I may have eventually watched. Willow and National Treasure, if they had stayed true to the stories, I would have.

The Peripheral is really the only one I will miss. That was good.

Pissed they cancelled Heels. It was one of my favorites and will end on a huge cliffhanger.

They have a handful of original sitcoms on the service that go 1 season because of the way they (don't) hire writers. I'm paraphrasing something I read on Twitter a while back so I may get some of the details wrong but it was about Netflix specifically. They hire a head writer but don't give them leeway to hire a writer's room. They have him write a few episodes and then contract out re-writes/punch ups to three other writers per episode. It's all separate and it's all done as "one-off" work. They'll write a few more episodes and repeat the process with even more one-off contract workers.
might as well just use AI

Would be nice if Disney, Marvel and Star Wars would stop putting this dumb bitch in everything.

No way they keep winning time canceled. That was the best show on HBO. One of the best shows ive watched. Another network has to pick it up.

Well no shite it got worse ratings. You couldn’t promote it along with the actors. You played it opposite of the nba season. I didn’t even start watching it until a couple weeks ago

I don’t even know her name but she’s wooden and not pretty. Her being not pretty is unfortunate considering she’s cast solely for her looks.

I’ll miss Doom Patrol and Prodigy was kind of fun; not a bad show for kids.

The rest contains a few I’ve heard of but nothing else I’ve watched.

this is one of the main reasons i stopped watching tv mostly at this point.

1. there is so much garbage out there now. just heaps and piles of it.

2. when you actually find something worth a damn to watch there a huge chance its going to get canceled. nothing irritates me more when it comes to TV than getting invested in a short to have it canceled before it can wrap up.

well i guess maybe the new phenomenon of a show being sold as something then changing gear after a short time drastically. See the Witcher as a prime example.

i think i started watching one new series in the last year.

There ought to be a law against ending a series without wrapping it up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of this particular cliff hanger, but you are right. The writers obviously had no indication that they weren't getting at least a 3rd.

Not a wrestling fan so I never saw, and don't care about Heels, but your quote here is either great, or what we'd expect from a wrestling fan.

Max better not cancel Peacemaker or I will be pissed.

They're working on a second season. It's just kind of taken a back seat to the strikes and James Gunn overseeing the DC universe.

The whole streaming model is just fricked.
They don't know how to market these shows.
There's all sorts of goofy ideas that get greenlit because of the constant need for content.
The only people making any money are some executives and producers (most writers and actors aren't getting paid, the companies that run these services are losing money on streaming).
Very few shows actually draw subscribers to a streaming service - you've got to be Yellowstone or Stranger Things sized hits - so they're just pouring money to hold on to the same audience.
I'm tempted to just ditch all our streaming services and drop in and out when the shows I like are on - like when Doctor Who hits Disney+ and Severance comes back on Apple.

Sex/Life is only one that will be missed because of Sarah Shahi.

Like 7 people are gonna miss this.

Good riddance.

Gotta be honest. I watched about 6 or 7 episodes. It was pretty good. The pilot was way on the nose about black/white issues, but after that it was pretty funny and a good throwback to an 80s/90s sitcom.

It did have some editing issues (some "action" scenes went on longer than they should), but I liked 1899.

I think that the ending was fine as-is for a one-off season. Without spoiling, a second season had practically infinite possibilities, which is a tough place to be in unless you have writers with a legit plan. I think that it was going to turn into a "Lost: situation where the showrunners just start making shite up on the fly without an endgame.

Curios as to why NCIS and its 7 versions are so popular? It’s not on a pay per view service and its not a reality show. There are still some old schoolers like myself that don’t have multiple subscriptions to shite( I have Prime only just because we purchase regular there).
