The changes that were made just didn't need to be made. Really killed the franchise for me movie wise
Have not seen and really lack the desire to do so.
I kind of put Baldwin and Ford on equally footing on there portrayals of Jack Ryan. For me they were the perfect casting of the version of Jack Ryan they played. Even though Baldwin's falls in the middle of the books timeline wise.
Affleck didnt do it for me.
Book wise I have always been partial to Clear and Present Danger, and Cardinal Of The Kremlin

Yeah, they need to make movies out of the books where Ryan becomes president. Launching missiles into terrorists' houses on worldwide television, taking out Chinese centers of computer hacking, making the Japs back off--again!

I think Hunt for Red October is the best film by quite a bit and that it might've been even better with Ford who was a bigger star...against Sean Connery. Baldwin sometimes blends into the background in that movie.
People say, yeah but it was the right call...wasn't Ryan supposed to be some young analyst? He wasn't that young and Ford has quite a few movies of playing that "you don't know what you're talking about" indignant outsider characters.

Saw the beginning of the one with Affleck om TNT, or some other channel with commercials. It looks terrible. Didn't watch for more than 30 minutes.

I wanted so bad to like Without Remorse…tried to like it, but it is straight up hot, stinking, garbage. I could not finish it. So much bullshite.

i didnt think it was a bad movie overall....i just thought it was nothing like without remorse and it was dumb as hell to call it that.
