Just got out from the theater.
I really enjoyed the film for what it was and enjoyed seeing a continuation of a character I love.
I love being immersed in the ABQ with these characters. I fully expect to have a Gene film and would welcome it. I am glad jesse gets to start over with close to $300K.
ETA
And they are giving me the film poster.
Yeah bitch. Framing this one.

Oscar-nominee Robert Forster died in Los Angeles on Friday of brain cancer, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He was 78.
The prolific thespian was known for his many character and leading man roles, having starred in over 100 films. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Max Cherry in Quentin Tarantino's 1997 film, Jackie Brown.
Forster's last movie was a reprisal of hisBreaking Badcharacter, Ed, in El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which was released on Netflix the same day as his death.
Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston took to Twitter to share his condolences. "I'm saddened today by the news that Robert Forster has passed away," he wrote. "A lovely man and a consummate actor. I met him on the movie Alligator (pic) 40 years ago, and then again on BB. I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood. RIP Bob."

I enjoyed it. Good movie and added to the greatness of BB.
Todd driving with a dead body and Jesse in the back while singing and getting 18 wheeler to blow its horn. What a sociopath.
Creepy Todd was something else.

I enjoyed seeing more of the jesse and todd interactions. Vince allowed Jesse Plemons to do his thing, he is a good actor. I'm thinking his weight gain was for another role. This el camino production was pretty fast, plemons may have not had time.
Couldnt help but feel the action figures in the tank with the spider was a sorta shootout to his black mirror episode.
It gives more weight to him strangling him at the end, and more insight as to how they were emotionally breaking him down.

Was the duel scene the first time that Jesse actually shot and killed someone? I can’t remember from the original series. That scene was pretty awesome.

Gale and tio salamanca's grandson when saving Gustavo and mike in mexico. Then he strangled todd to death.
Shot tuco and left him to die. All of his killings were self defense in ways, even with Gale and the position they were in. Not legally or morally but it was either going to be him or them.

I’m assuming that’s why he was ok with killing the two guys in the duel. He should’ve smoked those frickers in the apartment.

At first I thought he lacked the gun skills to pull off the dual scene. Then I remembered he was Mike's apprentice of a while on the show so it makes sense he could shoot.

So sad. Robert Forster was a fantastic actor.

I loved it as well. As usual, Vince is a master. Like everyone else said, it wrapped up Jesse’s story perfectly, and gave us a chance to peak back into that world again. The scene with Jesse and Walt was so well done because it felt meaningful, but it didn’t in any way overshadow everything else in the movie. It also left open the possibility of Jesse, for some reason, crossing paths with Gene down the road.

Pretty cool detail I read on the BB sub
The money Pete and badger give Jesse is the money Walt gave them for being pretend hitmen

What I'm wondering, is if the money Todd was storing away was the money they got when they robbed walter..or is it the money hes been making from lydia using Jesse's meth?
If it's that, then its rightfully Jesse's anyways lol which makes more sense.

Has it been discussed how the welding guy is the actor who plays the antagonist on Righteous Gemstones? I was cracking up thinking about that character while I was watching him.

We picked it up during the ingame portion of the thread. Without his voice I don't think I would have recognized him clean-shaven but did the second he raised his welding mask in the fishplate scene.
Has anyone seen a good discussion of the pathology of Todd? I usually see him called a sociopath but he doesn't really fit the antisocial aspect as I understand it. I mean he is completely fricked but I don't know how the experts would label his particular brand of frickery.

He shot him the the other gun he had in his jacket pocket, it never really ended up being an actual duel
