Was my thought as well. He mentioned something on the phone about the public masturbator. Also, was there not a baby crying when Walter was sitting in the waiting room waiting for him? I want to say I remember that but not sure. Gonna watch again and pay super close attention to see if maybe Walter is in the waiting room with the cap on.

That random scene with Gus finally stepping out to wet his beak and breathe now that Lalo is dead
That scene felt really out of place to me
God you could see the guilt and shame all over Kim at that life celebration/funeral. She looked in visible pain, her neck and throat muscles were spasming out. Then to make up a bullshite lie on the spot . So toxic

kinda agree. it was just showing that gus is still kind of human. he just faced life/death and won. he wanted to go see someone who was exciting in a past life, but found he was too much of an outsider. he will continue to be alone bc of doing illegal things...parallel to walt and saul here.

Unless that is setting up something else it really seemed like filler in an episode that didn't need it at an hour and twenty minutes.
Since we're into full Saul mode in the BB era, I don't think we'll see much of Gus anymore either, so it really doesn't make sense other than hammering home he's a gay.

There was a pic there that looked like it was taken at the same time as the one he put on his instagram.
Seemed to be wearing the same thing in a pic of him out hiking. At least that's how it seemed to me. Maybe even the same pic as there was someone standing blocking part of the picture.

I think it had to do with his humanity. He could never be close to someone because of his chosen life. And maybe he’s focused on revenge to the point that he can never be happy.
I think it is the last time we will see Gus but it was an important scene. He could have been happy (or at least tried to be happy) but he wasn’t willing to give up his status as a drug lord and/or his desire for revenge.
Kim walked away. Gus did not.

in all honesty this was a pretty slow episode and kinda weak. other than the kim cutting ties bombshell fully confirming the truly obvious theory only morons could not see being absolutely telegraphed from the beginning:
