Joking aside, Parks and Rec is my all time favorite sitcom. My wife refuses to be in the same room as it when it's on. Everybody has different takes.
Again, the only similarity is that it's a single camera shot type of show in my opinion, but I like them both.

I didn’t like parks and rec much at first, mainly because it was on at the same time as the office and was vastly inferior. And the first season was not great. But I gave it another chance and ended up liking it. It was very good but I don’t agree that it’s some GOAT comedy.

Season 1 isn't good. Season 2 also has issues but gets better

I like all 3, but agree that S3 is leaps and bounds better.
Also, (I haven't finished the season, but) Kai and Cal just need to get together.
It's obvious that they are best friends and would be a good couple. Volley was a good episode.

Seeing your take on P&R, I feel sorry for her and don’t blame her.
I don’t hate P&R at all, and I’ll catch it in syndication here and there. But it just was nowhere near as good as I had heard (and assumed) it would be. Firstly, it was a blatant rip-off of the American Office, which is one of my favorites. Secondly, I borderline hate Amy Poehler. So her being the centerpiece of the show wasn’t a plus for me.
And then on top of that, I found myself basically hating every person on the show. I liked Andy. Ron was fine, even though they leaned WAY too hard into his schtick. But most everybody else I couldn’t stand. Everyone loves Jean Ralphio, for example, and I thought he was straight up awful every time he was on the show and made me want to turn it off. April was such a try hard miserable person that she wasn’t even a real person to me. Tom was too over the top too. Ann was okay I guess. And Adam Scott too. But for the most part everybody on the show was a caricature, not a character, if that makes sense.
I laughed here and there, and generally enjoyed it at a low level. But It just isn’t laugh out loud funny to me. Nowhere near as good (or as clever) as The Office. (And one gripe I have about The Office was how caricature-y everyone became eventually in the later seasons).
I’m glad you like it. I just think it’s okay. And it’s nothing like Tires outside of maybe not having a laugh track.

I always couldn't explain what was a little off about parks and rec vs the ofice, but I think you nailed it. That's pretty much why I didn't love P&R and also why I didn't love the last few seasons of The Office.
I also don't love Amy Poehler either.

The finale lived up to the 9.5 rating on IMDB. Was kinda hoping Meadow Soprano might become a regular though.

Just finished the season. It’s amazing how much this show has progressed each season. The final episode was excellent. They really get the cringe humor and then have some great emotional moments.

It's so obvious that Shane is going to become a dad but he's not going to marry the liberal chick they'll be friendly but they're going to decide they just aren't right for each other but they're going to raise the kid and he's going to go back and date the woman that's perfect for him

This is exactly where I'm at. S1 felt like a web series they put on Netflix. S3 feels like a legit tv show. I wonder if they brought it more experienced writers for this season.

I didn't hate S1, I just wanted it to be what S2 and now S3 were Just finished S3 and I loved every bit of it. The production is clearly on another level now too. The writing is better. Its awesome.
