It truly is comical watching people wanna be the one to claim its dead or its over pop up in every thread. If it was truly over they wouldnt feel a need to post in every star wars thread.
Reminds me of this guy from parks and rec

They did kill it but it can be revived with the right talent

It'll be very difficult. She severely damaged not one, not two, but three IPs:
Star Wars - Divided the fan base and turned the IP into a streaming TV brand.
Indiana Jones - To call the "Dial of Destiny" anything but a catastrophe would be blatant ignorance of reality.
Willow - Fumbled the ball so badly that Disney essentially erased the TV series from existence.

it's funny that Disney gets blamed for "killing" Star Wars under KK rather than Lucas for picking her.
She pretty much betrayed Lucas and Spielberg. She was with them every step of the way so George thought she could be trusted.
The worm turned when all of the lead females were sassy brunettes who were clearly molded in KK’s image. She purposely chose narratives that crapped on each franchise’s lore and decimated the fanbase Steven and George worked so hard to build.
Go see the video where the two of them ignore her while introducing John Williams at the Dial of Destiny premiere. You can tell they’re pissed at her.

Do you even think what you are saying when you post? You might as well just post gobbledygook if you arent gonna make sense.
What is the irony in people that dont claim star wars is dead still posting in star wars threads?
We have Andor season 2 coming soon.

The executive — along with Disney in general — has also often been targeted by franchise’s fandom for diverse casting moves and a perceived “woke” agenda (a perception that Disney boss Bob Iger has been eager to move past).
You see it's all just a "perception" people have....just a wild crazy perception that Disney would deliberately batter the movie making process with progressive dogmatic decision making. All a perception, may be true may not. Lol

A cult member comparing people to cult members and you don’t know where the irony is? Lol

Star Wars is a Disney content mill. Whatever soul it had or whatever made it special has been stripped away.
There is a crowd of people who will consume literally anything so long as their favorite franchises are attached, but that market is finite and will wane.
Yes, you are getting content. I just don’t look for anything to light the spark that the series once had. Star Wars is just another media property now.

Somebody give me a rational answer why Favreau or Filoni aren't even considered.
He came from the MCU, so he's aware of how the "Big Business/Dealing with Disney" part works.
Dealing with fans- see above. I mean, hell he's already beloved by fans, that's why his name is known.
As for licensing and such... isn't that the purpose of a Marketing division? That's obiviously a role you delegate to somebody who specializes in that area, and not something you'd mandate for a CEO.
quote:I understand that could eliminate Filoni, but Favreau is competent in those fields...
“What people don’t understand is that it’s not a creative job,” says one producer with ties to Star Wars. “That’s about 10 percent. The rest of it is dealing with Disney, licensing and fans.”

i'd rather Favreau continue just being a creative than worrying about all that other shite.
