lol I saw the actor recently, can’t remember where, so he was on the brain in some capacity. But yes that movie was terrible and I normally like that genre.

Oddly enough… with what little he’s been in.. i watched an episode of Brooklyn 99 this afternoon that he was in and I thought “ oh wow the guy from I love you Beth cooper”.

He does alot of animation comedy. He was in American Dad, Aqua Teen, Bobs Burgers and shite like that. He was in Inglorious Bastards too. Lol can’t believe we’re talking about Paul Rust’s career.

We are easily living in the worst f*cking era of cinema ever. F*cking garbage. This abortion of a show won’t last 2 seasons before getting canned due to abysmal viewership.

If this was in a bubble where wed never had all the woke adaptation disasters, then maybe people wouldnt care as much. We know now that showmakers that are willing to raceswap characters are not serious about truly adapting a story properly. Their job is to preach to us instead of provide quality entertainment.
This is also why they wanna make Hermoine black. No one has ever in real life seen a black girl in a predominantly white school be the smartest, bestest, most hard working student in real life so our entertainment must serve to counterbalance reality.
Same with Snape. They need a black actor for the purposes of preaching to the audience. We all know that in the story, Harry's father bullies Snape and we all know how the showrunners are gonna portray this.
Its less about him actually being black and more that we are tired of our entertainment being a means to "correct" us

Recent history has shown that people who pull these stunts make shitty shows and movies.
A serious filmmaker wouldnt do this

The only time characters were specified by race were when they weren't white. I think every single non white character was specified which race they were except mayybe Cho Chang...and that was beyond obvious.
I dont think JK Rowling even wrote Cursed Child. At most she signed off on it. Ive never read that garbage and dont consider it canon

Not at all. I read it and then made a mental image of snape but as soon as i watched the movies that image of snape completely changed and snape now looks like alan Rickman in my head, despite that being nothing like the image i had of him pre-movies.
It didnt ruin the movies for me at all that rickman didnt look like the image i had of snape in my head before, much like paapa essiedu not looking like Rickman wont ruin the show for me.
Humans are very adaptable.
The most glaring example is probably how i imagined tyrion lannister before watching game of thrones. He was supposed to be so hideous that he was hard to look at.

C420 is a disingenuous poster. 100% it affects how the character is seen in story. He knows this. He's just trolling the board for responses.
Snape's physical features are more detailed than any other besides Harry himself. JK even drew a sketch of what Snape looks like. The list goes on and on with how ridiculous race swapping Snape is and it's interwoven with the history of how Snape interacts with James, the things he says, about Lily, etc...
Funny how JK is so strong against men pretending to be women, but is happy to race swap one of her own characters. I guess there are rules to identity appropriation that only the elites can follow.
