There's way stupider shite on tv than This Is Us.

People love a good melodrama
It's not as bad as you paint it to be. While not my cup of tea, it's certainly better than 93% of the garbage on broadcast television these days

Honestly I probably wouldn’t watch it without alajones2, but when we do, I enjoy it.
After a while though, I would think that they would have to do something else besides go for the feels every time.

Heard this season will include Jack in 'Nam. Maybe we'll have some good battle scenes.

All of this.
Is it Mad Men or Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad? Nope. But shows like Chicago Fire or The Good Doctor make it look like it’s that good.

Chicago Fire is a vastly superior show then This is Us. 90% of the characters on that show are just plot devices to envoke tears. They have no depth or real purpose other than to have something conveniently tragic happen to them so women can sip wine and cry. It and Grey's Anatomy are the worst things to happen go network television this millennium, with a close second going to reality tv.

I watch with the Mrs. Maybe not my favorite but I agree with how long it shows good caring fathers.

This is likely going to be the overarching narrative/mystery this season.

this lacked the " Memphis" and " Number 1" level emotions.
Glad this is us, is back though.

He called Toby to come. Maybe it’s Kate or maybe that’s too obvious.

No melt here. The show can go for the cheap emotional shot a little too often. However, it makes me want to be a better dad. There aren’t many shows now a days with that kind of a redeeming quality. I’m not shamed to watch it. It’s a guilty pleasure of mine a guess.
you need a fictional show to want to be a better dad? sad.

you don't want to piss off the other pansies in this thread who apparently like to watch morbidly obese women.

I thought that too at first when they showed Toby, but that doesn't really make sense why Tess is involved. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
Maybe its Rebecca.
