I watched. It was ok. Not terrible, but overall kind of boring.

I seemed like a whole bunch of set up for what’s coming. I didn’t hate it but didn’t feel the need to give it my undivided attention and pause or wait til after the show was over to do a few things in the kitchen.

I enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me about the whole Randall/Beth storyline was it's basically exactly the opposite of the way i'd expect her to act. Everything they've shown me about her so far leads me to believe she's a "never give up, hard arse" type of character. Then suddenly she flips? Didn't make sense, but I guess it worked out.

I agree with this.

***Spoiler***

I’m surprised they actually had Randall win the election. Thought it was just going to be a side filler plot.

All I know is that if Toby had sold Kate’s urn or other possession of Jack that she had planned to give to her baby.. she would’ve been a raging mega bitch about it instead of acting pretty cavalier about selling the Star Wars stuff .

It was okay. I agree it was a lead for things to come. Surprised and glad Randall won. Toby’s drugs helped him through the incident.

Randall wins. Hmm, how long until he's curled up in the corner whining like a wee baby, again?

Whale woman. I hate her so much. And that's an understatement. "Sell your toys."

And, the preview has them all standing outside a trashy trailer. Only thing missing is the raper van. Combat Bro is creepy as hell. Is he going to abduct them all and stick them under his bed?

Oh, wait, that's physically impossible. Kate couldn't even get a kankle under the bed. And, if she lays down, how the hell does the entire trailer keep from rolling over when she tries to get back up?

She can't go in there. One foot in and it's going right through the floor. Then, Randall is going to have to go ape and build him a new dwelling. Amirite?

Sorry for all the spoilers, but that's the way it's lookin' to me.

Damn I feel bad for Nicky. Living all those years alone and carrying the weight of what happened in Vietnam. Then having the big brother you always looked up to cut you off and you can never tell him what really happened.

The Beth and Randall income question that has come up a few times...

I've always had the impression that they were legit, legit rich. They'll work to keep themselves busy and keep money coming in, but not like it was a necessity...

That was some heavy, heavy shite.

I mentioned that to my wife last night. I thought "damn, these people aren't scared to hop on a plane last minute. Their airfare costs must be unreal".

I think the same thing all the time.

I mean Kevin obviously has money from this TV show.

No clue how Beth and Randall keep up their lifestyle with either only one or neither of them working. Unless she has family money or something.

And Kate, no clue how she has any money doing part time singing gigs.

Anyone else find it strange the way Jack treated Nicky? Everything we’ve come to know about Jack would lead you to believe that he would eventually forgive his brother (no matter how much of a dumpster fire he turned into) or at minimum sit down long enough to hear his side of the story instead of letting him rot in a trailer for years. The same brother that he volunteered to go to the most dangerous place in the world to save. Especially when he was constantly reaching out and hurting. Just seemed to go against the character they’ve made Jack out to be.

Wasn't Randall highly successful in his previous job? I had the impression that he was pretty well off, financially.

He bought his 6-figure car in cash.

He must still have plenty of cash stashed. Wasn't he going to be the house husband when he quit?
