Yeah its easily The Rock, although if Trainwreck showed us anything it’s that LeBron has some pretty good comedic chops. That’d be something worth looking into post-NBA career

I get the reference to the movie as per the OP's intent, but based on some interpretations of this thread, I give you:

Not sure if he is the world's greatest, but throwing him out there.. Denzel Washington's son John David Washington.

He played college ball at Morehouse then RB for the Rams one year. For those who might not be familiar, he plays in Ballers.

And you can't have a thread like this and not mention the Duke..

John Wayne played football for USC.

Since the Duke passed on, I would vote for Kurt

Or, for that matter, Kurt Russell. He had a solid shot at a Major League Baseball career before an injury sent him back to acting.

Jan-Michael Vincent was a tremendous physical specimen and a decent actor but his hobbies (lots of booze and drugs) derailed his career.

The Rock, oddly enough, when I met him a few times back when he was just breaking into wrestling, was like your next door neighbor only with an NFL level body. He made it work and that is something you have to respect.

I don't think he is at the level of John Wayne or Kurt Russell. But if he doubles down on his acting... well he could be up there.

Mark Harmon - QB at UCLA.

During his very first game for UCLA, he engineered a stunning upset of the two-time defending national champion, Nebraska Cornhuskers. UCLA was an 18 point underdog at home.

His Dad was one of the greatest CFB players of all-time.

If you’re going old movies, Jim Brown is the best football player/actor.

John Cena was better than Lebron in Trainwreck.
