After the show they showed a quote from Tanya back in season 1
Paraphrasing:
“I’ve had every type of treatment/experience except death. That’s the last immersive experience that I haven’t done”

I really liked the season overall, but they had to dumb Portia down to like a toddler for the last two episodes, and it just didn’t feel right.
I felt like that was kind of the point. Portia was shitting on Tanya all season, but she's the same type of clueless idiot that falls for assholes and is too hopeless to help herself.
On a different note, it feels like they have to finish the story line with Greg, but I hope they don't and season 3 is just all new cast members.

I think the plane more than likely crashed into the atlantic on the way home and everyone died. Porsha was in on the hit also imho.

ETA: As for Lucia and the "pimp," I wondered if one of the hotel guys at the end was that dude, but couldn't remember what he looked like. If someone can confirm that, that would wrap that plot line up nicely for me.
Yeah, it was the guy to the right as they’re walking up.

But the difference is she fell for him, but she wasn’t clueless throughout. That would be one thing, but her spidey senses were going off like crazy and for too long for it to be her just falling for a cool bro.
They had to use him being an obvious decoy to build tension with Tanya and let us know she was in trouble but in doing so they had to drag it on and make Porcia look like an absolute idiot.

The drink they gave Tanya probably was laced with something and she was starting to feel the effects of that assuming she drank it, probably why she used the gun the way she did and just fell off the boat
They were probably gonna let the drugs kick in before killing her
yeah does Greg still inherit all the money?

I enjoyed this season better than Season 1, but there were a few things I didn't like about the ending.
Many times in the second half of season they alluded to Cam being broke. Then he just casually slides Lucia an envelope with no explanation of how he got the money. Maybe he had it all along but just slow played it because he's a self centered a-hole?
Alessio the "pimp" was in the first episode. They show the 2 girls walking down the street to go meet the boat. Alessio steps out of the hotel and they wave. The same way at the end of the last episode. I'm assuming he's a friend and she paid him to "kidnap" her to make her story look real to the love struck Albie.
I didn't like Ethan giving Harper a free pass for hooking up with Cam. We are to assume he banged Daphne on the island, so I guess that makes it ok. I don't like that part. They were supposed to be the "better" couple- you would expect that type of behavior from Cam and Daphne.
Overall it was a great season- the production is so damn well-done. The music, the scenery as a character, the timing of moving stories along simultaneously- I love everything about it. The last episode where they showed a wave building and then mixing in shots of Ethan was amazing.
ETA: also- Greg comes out way better than he could have imagined. Dead wife and no hitmen to split the money with. Will be interesting to see if he returns in S3 or if they start fresh with a whole new cast. The director's cut after the show mentioned Eastern Religion- so maybe Maldives or possibly and island in the Phillippines?

Daphne said let's do it again at the table, the Maldives might be next location

He's in on the scams, that's why they both go up and kiss him. It's those 3 pulling scams on rich people

Use the damn stairs on the back of the yacht Tanya
The boat has been moved and tied up on the side, probably in an attempt to prevent Tanya from escaping on her own.
She was also drugged at the end, which explains why she thought jumping into the boat was a better idea than using the ladder and swimming into it.

Daphne said they were going to the Maldives next year.
Could see season 3 following them

In the episode recap Mike White said he was feeling S3 themes of Eastern religion and death/spirits
Said S1 theme was money and S2 was sex

I think this was the entire point of the Ethan and Harper storyline. In the end, being rich corrupted them and the evolved/devolved into Cam and Daphne.

I guess my one question would be. If the plan was to kill Tanya from the start. Why did they do this whole thing to entertain her and be seen constantly in public just for the plan to be to murder her and throw her in the ocean? Wouldn’t they have been opening themselves up to all kinds of questioning when her body washed up / she goes missing, since she was last with them?
The whole plot made more sense IMO if they were either going to blackmail her, basically if there was a clause in the prenup that it’s void if she cheated, or made it look like a drug overdose at the party maybe?
Spending 3 days with someone you just met then they wash up to shore dead is super suspicious right?

Yeah, lots of holes to their story.
Why would Quentin tell her the story about his American cowboy, while a picture of Greg still sat in his room?
I know she’s dumb, but the added risk of her putting the pieces together was sloppy.

Well the picture could just be written up to he forgot to remove the picture.
But really, their whole ruse made sense if they were planning to set her up somehow, trick her into violating her prenup, convince her to “donate” money, or blackmail her. It doesn’t make any sense if the plan was just to straight murder her mafia style.

They’re a group of gay socialites whose fortune has dwindled, not trained assassins.
It makes a lot of sense for their plan to be fullof holes.

I don’t think their plan was to kill her. The plan was to blackmail her w photos they took of her and the gigolo. Perhaps the gun, tape, and rope were meant to scare her. She overreacted and it got them all killed.
