quote:I liked that arc. Would have been easy to have them get divorced or Ethan off himself. He was lost all season and Daphne made him realize he needs to stop overthinking things and let loose.
I felt the end showed that Harper/Ethan were basically turning into Cam/Daphne after detesting them the whole vacation.
Tanya’s eyes closed shooting spree and death were perfect for her character imo.
It wasn’t the endings I expected, but I still liked it a lot. I agree that they packed a lot in and there could have been more to a couple storylines, like Mia and the piano player, but it seems to always feel that way when you’re engaged in a great show.

Who takes a shite without their phone?

I laughed when Tanya did the header off the boat. That's exactly how she should have died. I wonder if we find out more about the story on her hubby, Uncle Rico, next season?

That is what I thought as well. Daphne’s speech to Ethan pretty much confirmed it.
The ending was unexpected but Tonya’s ending was funny. The ending didn’t have a big payoff, but it was definitely suspenseful.

So, did the "nephew" ever actually have sex with Portia? It never showed it. And, was Tanya's guess correct? Were they going to kill her?

Of course they were, look what was in the duffel bag.

Portias an idiot. Why didn’t she ditch that dude?
Wish they would have shown the whole whore/pump storyline
So was that her boyfriend?

The scene where Cameron was brushing his teeth and Daphne was face timing with the kids and they wanted to talk to him and he seemed aggravated, he knows that's not his kid, right?

I took it more as it showing how fake his happiness is around other people.

Are we done with Uncle Rico? Wish we would have seen him one more time. So, he was he talking to on the patio when he said, "I love you, see you soon"?

Probably Quentin, his old flame?

I’m pretty sure the “pimp” was the guy Lucia and Mia hugged at the very end before skipping off. He wasn’t a pimp, he was a worker at another hotel and was part of the setup to scam Albie.

Also, when Jack left to go the bathroom why didn't Portia try and find the police. And never get into that damn car with him.
I really liked the season overall, but they had to dumb Portia down to like a toddler for the last two episodes, and it just didn’t feel right.
Right before the dude passes out after clearly not letting her leave, he tells her his uncle has no money but is about to get a huge windfall? LEAVE
He has obviously stolen her phone and then goes to the bathroom? Grab his phone, LEAVE, and go to the police
If all else fails, after he grabs the phone from you and says you can’t get a cab, for the love of God DO NOT GET IN THE CAR
That part was just too idiotic.
I did start to chuckle, though, the second I saw Tonya look down and see the boat. Obviously she wasn’t gonna know to go off the stern and was gonna fall and smoke herself on the way down. We were dying laughing when it happened, so fitting for her.

I was surprised Albie even realized that he was a mark after she left that last morning.
I figured he would probably make up an excuse for her in his mind and think she was still the victim.
50K was such an absurd amount, but good on Lucia for realizing just how naive he is. She must be able to suck start a leaf blower.

I’m still laughing about Tanya realizing she’s about to get murdered by Greg’s gay (maybe) ex lover so Greg can get her money, going on an eyes closed shooting spree, then the first question she asks Quentin is, “Is Greg cheating on me?”

I went from gasping to laughing so many times in those last few minutes. From when she dropped her phone to finding the rope and masking tape in the black bag to shooting everyone then asking about cheating to spastically trying to jump off the boat. The send-off for her character was so perfect.

I need to go rewatch to confirm, but they may have alluded to her falling off the side twice. Once for sure when they were riding the Vespa on the cliff, and I think she like stumbled getting off the boat in the first scene.

I agree and that's what I assume is happening. But I still didn't like that ending for them (even if it makes sense).
ETA: As for Lucia and the "pimp," I wondered if one of the hotel guys at the end was that dude, but couldn't remember what he looked like. If someone can confirm that, that would wrap that plot line up nicely for me.
And I agree with the above post about dumbing down Portia way too much. She isn't stupid, and did so many stupid things the last episode or two. It felt way too forced. You can only let her fall for the "Come on, bro, let's keep drinking and having fun" line from Jack so many times before it just feels dumb and overboard.
