I like it.
Consider me in the cruise ship gang.
ETA: Frick a prison. I'm not going back there.

I disagree.
Well, not that death is the only choice, but I'll call it "eventual death."
I think the fairest thing is to let them decide if they want us to off them, or if they want to be exiled and survive on their own until they turn. I wouldn't have a problem letting someone I know and care about exile themselves until they turn. If they ever come back, they will be killed. But it at least keeps things sorta humane in a way.

Read Dying to Live by Kim Paffenroth. Has some really neat insight on how prisons may or may not turn out. I personally would stay away. The potential for a fight on 2 fronts is not my cup of tea.

Humane for whom? The fricker that is eventually going to try to eat me and my cruise ship gang?
You get bit you get shot or you shoot yourself on my boat. Then you become shark bait unless that would create shark zombies.

I thought of the problem of adding another zombie to the mix. So exhile is out.
See, that's where I disagree. It's just adding a single zombie. A few at most per year, assuming that sometimes there are casualties within the group. I can trade off adding one zombie here or there for being humane to people I've grown to care about.
And like I said, once exiled, it's understood that they are fair game to be killed if they decide to return. It basically gives them a chance to make the choice of killing themselves or not.
Also, you mention adding another zombie back into the mix. But if I was bitten, I'd choose to be exiled, and then go take out as many zombies as I could. So killing me yields no fewer zombies. Exiling me means adding a potential zombie to the masses, but I am also taking many more out with me before I turn. So exiling actually helps the numbers game in most instances (exceptions are maybe like frail women or small children who wouldn't be able to really take any zombies out after they were exiled).

i could see that.

Exactly. The only one I can think of would be Alcatraz, since it's on an island. Also, any mountain-top kind of prison would work as well. But in either scenario, you'd need helicopter access in case of the need for evacuation.

I want you to read what I have of the Great Zombie Manifesto from the OT back in 2006 and see what you think. You would have enjoyed that shite...what's your email?

Or I could just get a shovel or bat or something, or find my own gun, and go on a zombie hunting/killing spree while I was still human. Obviously as a group, you wouldn't exile someone and sacrafice a weapon to them...so they'd be on their own. But I guarantee you I could find something to use as a weapon (if not a weapon itself) and take some shits out before I turned. And maybe the end all, once I know that I am starting to turn, is to do something like you said...kill myself while taking a shitload of them with me. Because until I turn, I'd still be doing what I could to help the survivors.

Do zombies have any type of self preservation? If not, you could tie up about 15 feet from the river bank, make shitloads of noise and taunt them. Wouldn't they just try to come after you by going into the river? The currents would take care of them.

How is letting someone become a zombie humane? If you actually cared about someone it seems like you'd never let them walk with the undead.

it's a good plan but if you're like Jim, you won't be physically able to fight for too long after you're bitten or scratched. He looked weak as hell and in terrible pain. I'm doing my napalm recipe in a back pack or something and taking a grenade with me into a pack of those retards and blowing us all up. And hopefully the fire will spread to another 30 or so.

It's their choice. I'm really not opposed to the idea of a bitten person taking out as many zombies as they can. That would be the ultimate self sacrafice.

it's letting them die on their terms for one. Even if it is probably worse than dying from a flue, but the point is it's their choice. That's what makes it humane.
