I agree, it likely has showers and all the nice commodities. That way meatloaf can keep it nice and trim, and stank free for us.

OK when the SHTF everyone meet at my house. I already have the monster truck and tools to get started.

I really like that river boat living quarters idea. Mobility is always better than firepower, and it is self sustaining.

Am I the only person that thinks a person who is bit should be offered a choice?

1. Be exhiled
2. Killed by a group member
3. Kill themself

Unless a person's jugular is ripped out, the bit person will have time before turning (depending on where, maybe more than a day). I just think the person should have time to accept what's going to happen to them and make the choice they want. It's granting a dying person one last request, and I would want that offered to me.

I guess I'll go ahead and be the Rick Grimes of the group

I agree, a dying request should be honored but it must always benefit the group.

Not an option... you can't let anyone become a walker. Death is the only choice.

I'd want a choice..And I would pick #2. And then I would get to choose who blows my brains out.

Thats a really hard question to answer.

IMO being exiled is off the table. Your group will already be outnumbered and there is no need to add one more to the dead ranks. One more that will is your friend or family member and may cause you to hesitate in killing down the road.

I would hope anyone I am with would not want to turn.

I saw that set up. Boat is not even rigged to push or tow that barge arrangement. The American Queen is a great setup. Housing, cold food storage, plenty of dry stores, plenty of fuel, generators,z drives, shallow draft, Boiler,Evaps for fresh water,Machine shop,I could go on and on.

When I hit submit, I thought of the problem of adding another zombie to the mix. So exhile is out.

Maybe replace option 1 with restraining the person until they turn and then shooting them. Let them live as long as they can (or want to). Kind of like what they did in the Dawn of the Dead remake

Couldn't you set up in a cruise ship without even leaving port. Just pull up the gang planks and bam...instant shelter/fort.

Navy ships too I suppose.

I don't see Zombies climbing the ropes used to hold the ship to the dock.

The only problem I see is you are going to have to go ashore to get supplies. If you stay in one spot the zombies will find you. They may not be able to get on the ship, but you may not be able to get off.

I think the best option would be to take a ship out in the middle of the water, then have some sort of transport boat to go to shore and what not. Speed and stealth is of the essence.

Finding a prison would be ideal. Multiple fences for protection. Huge food supply. Large weapons and riot gear cache.

Main problem would be clearing it of zombies and hoping no prisoners stayed behind.

Prisons are haunted. Ghosts scare me. Zombies don't. I'd rather take my chances with zombies.

Built to keep people IN... not really OUT. I think using a prison would be a terrible idea. You have no means of escape if there is a breach.

I think finding a prison and setting up shop would be more realistic than a yacht or a cruise ship
