The band that will be playing live on the talking dead next week, Baby Bee, is from Houma. They're friends with my friends and got to see them perform at a wedding reception about a month ago. Really talented guys.

My buddy who is a UGA fan just said Hines Ward was one of the zombies in tonight's episode. Will have to watch again.

I just looked them up, Joe Stark used to play at a lot of our fraternity parties.

I think when they started doing "Crazy Rick"
is when this show jumped the Shark.

it was a fine episode just didnt live up to the "premier" after break
Posted on 2/10/13 at 10:35 pm to Rittdog
pretty bummed after that long wait.
crazy rick is pretty silly.
i thought for sure they'd open up the season with someone being killed off.

Couldn't agree more. The biggest problem with this episode was we had to wait months to see it. I did enjoy seeing Hershel holding everything together.
The governors crew looks pretty weak. At first I thought our team would have trouble with them. But, I think if Rick can hold it together briefly and Merle/Daryl show up we take them down no problem.
Andrea is a count. How can she be lied to and deceived then remain on the Governor's side? She even knows about his daughter and the aquarium heads. Stereotypical movie female move.

It's Andrea. Do yourself a favor and don't expect much.

Andrea jumps on the power dick. thats pretty much her character discription
michone might as well have a dick

Hines was one. There's before and afters out there.
Very weak episode, not sure wtf it was. They've had set up episodes over the last season and a half but this was weak. Hope they pick up the momentum they carried through season 3.

I loved how when Merle told everyone that Michonne had pet walkers everyone immediately grasped the concept and judgingly glanced at her. I would have been like "hold up, hold the f up. what is this talk about pet walkers."

Michonne needs to open her effing mouth for once and EXPLAIN something, anything! She's still annoying with her "super black ninja silent chick" complex.

Isn't there a new producer?

even in a post apocolyptic world rick gets stuck taking care of another mans baby

Its almost like before Season 3 started, they didn't know when the break was gonna be. I thought the mid season finale was kinda weak as well

So Ward was the walker that they zoomed in on when he found entrance to Woodbury

During the preview of the next episode when Rick was looking out atop the prison walls with binoculars, I thought I heard a helicopter.

Show Runner.
Mazzarra didn't get fired/quit until after season three wrapped. The rest of the episodes this season are all his.
I don't think this episode would have been perceived as slow or weak if we hadn't had such a long layoff.
The first half of the season moved SO fast that you almost need this type of set up episode to ramp up to the next phase - the continuing war between the prison gang and Woodbury, what happens to Merle and Daryl, how does Michonne get back in Rick's good graces, what does Andrea choose, how does the group react to Rick's increasingly erratic behavior, what will Tyrese and company do to prove themselves to Rick.
This episode put all those plot lines in motion.
Yeah, it wasn't action packed but we needed to see these beginnings and transitions of the new plotlines - knowing how Merle and Daryl hit the road, knowing how Andrea is taking a leader role, knowing that Maggie and Glenn are a bit estranged because of their capture, knowing that Tyrese's group wants to join Rick, knowing Michonne is not trusted, and knowing that the prison group is leery of Rick are necessary for the story to move forward.
It set ups the motivations for what the characters do for the rest of the season.
