Shane could make a good Beta if he had a good alpha to follow. Rick apparently was that guy inthe pre ZA world but is very iffy at it int he post ZA world.

While there is certain a question of Ricks decisions, he's been busy dealing with a missing kid (the only one who went after her initially and of course the one who had the balls to kill her) the shooting of his own son while attempting to keep his people on safe land. I'd say going forward Rick decisions will always be for the best of the group.

It's not like they were trying to shoot them in the shoulder

Shane,Rick, and Daryl could have taken care of the whole barn without having to reload

I thought both of these, but when neither made a move forward, I hoped it would be Rick. He needed to do it to reaffirm his leadership role.

Shane did a good job rallying the troops, but I agree with the earlier poster who said he doesn't always stop to think things through and figure out what the consequences might be--like if the walkers had all stormed out of the barn at the same time instead of one by one.

Interesting to note the change in Maggie, which started after the drug store attack. Even though she was upset & crying about the walkers being put down, she knew what had to be done (nodding to Glenn to go help shoot them).

That is quite the loaded question.

If Herschel gets infected, would he become "Herschel Walker"?

Man, February seems so far away for new episodes...

I didnt. In fact, when she starts walking out the barn and the low camera angle only shows her feet, i first thought it was hershel's step son

Of course, the whole situation of shooting all the walkers in the barn wouldn't have been necessary if they had just dug a moat around the barn.

So we're to believe that Sophia was bitten but able to get away from the walkers? Otherwise they would have just eaten her, correct?

Again, seems like more people would not be walkers because they'd be eaten. It's not like Otis could be a walker. Do that many really survive the initial attack?

I thought it was his wife.

That whole scene was awesome. Basically we are all sitting around saying why would they allow the walkers in the barn to keep "living" and we were all happy that they started killing them. Then boom, Sophia. Suddenly Shane looks like a complete arse and no one wanted to shoot Sophia. Rick, as usual steps up.

Shane is a grat character because he is so controversial. I hate him, but he moves the story. Daryl is still the fricking man.

Gonna be interesting to see how Rick deals with the whole Sophia thing. He's going to feel like shite again and feel like he was the reason she ended up a walker.

If it was a one on one situation, i dont see any reason why sophia couldnt escape a walker after being bitten

Have they said it is a generator or could it by hydroelectric power? I have an uncle completely off the grid with a paddle wheel and a wind turbine He's nuts but on Z day I'm heading to his place.
