Yeah. Shane pretty much endangered them all by opening the barn door. If something had gone wrong one or more of them could have gotten bitten. (it would have been kind of hilarious if Dale had just left one bullet in each gun - of course it looked like they checked their ammo when Shane passed out the guns though).
Shane could make a good Beta if he had a good alpha to follow. Rick apparently was that guy inthe pre ZA world but is very iffy at it int he post ZA world.

Still a new post ZA world. What type of leader is still being worked out.
That was a shite load of ammo wasted there and you mentioned opening the doors could have been a disaster. Hell, what would have happen if there were more walkers than bullets?
It would have been must smart figure out a way to kill them one by one with an axe or something.
All that noise could attract other walkers too.
