I was not sure. If my wife saw that scene I’d have hell to pay.

The governor did kill Lori and baby Judith in the comics though

Also, the kids getting whacked wasn't all that much worse than they've already done.
Have we forgotten about kid one killing kid two then Carol taking kid one into the front yard and putting a bullet behind her ear?

I'm assumming this was a storyline from the comic book.
Nope, sounds like typical show BS.

Not from the comic, per The Wrap.

Interestingly enough, the character of Jocelyn is original to the show and is not someone who Michonne has mentioned before. She’s not a loose interpretation of a comics character repurposed for this arc. She, and this story, are brand new.

Finally we see some kids getting murdered. Would have been better if we saw their heads flying through the air though.

Doesn't look like Negan is getting out this season. Maybe at the end of the finale.
Here’s hoping that happens and he wipes out the entire cast for a series finale. My will to stick this thing out is beyond waning.

Watched last night. What a boring episode. I am not sure why the love for it is in this thread.
First and foremost, I borderline hate Michonne, so an episode centered basically around her has little interest to me. Secondly, they've made a big deal about these scars, and like someone said, it basically is just because she met her friend and some sadistic kids who branded her for.....no real reason at all? Okay.
Third, I agree that the water wheel things were odd. I wondered what was powering those myself, although doesn't Alexandria have solar panels? I thought I remember them having those at some point.
Judith bores me to tears. And I fully do not buy that this little three foot tall frail child is out there slaughtering ten+ walkers with her little pewpew sword. But hey, she handles a .357 Magnum like it's a toy, so who knows.
The only thing this episode did was show us why Michonne hates everyone and refuses to let people in. But in reality, we already know the dangers of other people on this show. So this was not new information; we just happened to see it from her particular standpoint (with her friend and all).
I was about to lose my mind when Darryl and Michonne were both onscreen whispering their lines at each other. The only thing worse than that was Judith saying "mommy" ten times. I'm not sure why that bothers me so much, but it does.
The only person in the episode that made any sense whatsoever was Negan. I guess he is on the show now to remind Michonne how fricking stupid she is from time to time.
Is next week the finale? If so I am sure it will be somewhat watchable since that is the only time I feel like the show puts forth any effort into making good episodes. And I am sure the fair won't happen until the latter part of the episode, and it will get underway and some shite will go down and there will be this big cliffhanger that won't mean much, and nothing will really get accomplished or move the plot forward. Textbook TWD.

Clearly, the brands only served to tell the audience that "something bad" happened and they'll tell us about it later. However, the total lack of creativity in explaining it really makes me wonder how these people got jobs in TV. It was basically meaningless. Some junior high school kids could have come up with something better than that. Mudhsark's fan fiction would have been way better.

Let new group in, hostile takeover, branding, other communities don't come rescue right away, original guard retakes Alexandria, gives other communities the finger in terms of trade, etc. and locks the door.
That would have been predictable, but would have made more sense than a long lost friend showing up in Virginia with killer kids.

I was thinking that maybe one of the kids was the actual mastermind, and that they could have lured D and M out and forced them to be slaves, using the friend as bait.
They didn't really have to use kids at all. Pretty much anything passably logical would have worked better.
BTW, didn't one remaining little blonde girl run off? I guess she's 6 years older and will come for revenge or something.
