Also, put me in the "kill every one you see" camp, at least for the most part. I can understand if you're on a run or something and time is of the essence, but in general living situations, just kill them. There are a finite number in the area (herding notwithstanding), so ANY you can kill now will be less of a problem later. And I realize that if you're surrounded by thousands it likely won't matter, but if you kill ten throughout the week, and then a herd of ten comes on Saturday...ten is MUCH easier to deal with than 20. So even if you don't want to go out and hunt/kill them (even though I think that's a solid idea), killing them when you can seems like a no-brainer. It's not like you really lose much time or waste much energy on it.

The tree zombie in the last episode isn't a good example but with a "kill every one you see" mentality wouldn't your odds of getting bit increase significantly? I feel like it is best just to avoid them altogether in a ZA scenario.. obviously the mechanics of the zombie really come into play with how fast/agile they are... but I'd be worried about tripping or something crazy happening.

Obviously if you have a fence between you and the zombie (like in TWD) you should be killing them but if you are out in the open and there is one zombie lurking around I'd prob just avoid, unless you have a really long sword/xbow

By now they should all have some sort of non-firearm zombie killing device. Whether it's a sword, machete, crossbow, regular bow... something to take them out without making much noise.

I'm not sure if this was discussed, but I think Lizzie is the one that killed the two infected and Carol is covering up for her.

I'm probably 120% wrong though.

Well Lizzie did take Carol's knife from her in the 2nd episode this season when they were near the fence. Maybe Carol had a helping hand in it? Those bloody prints that Rick examined looked pretty small for an adult.

the longer, the better. Michonnes samurai sword is probably the most ideal killing weapon.

I was mainly speaking to that 5" blade that Carol was running around with.

I'd roll up with a machete and a Kalashnikov. AKs can make it through anything.

Did anyone catch what the coffee mug said? The one that was pulled out the desk? At first glance I thought it said "Javi Sanchez" that would have been epic.

The spikes may get caught. I just want a plain aluminum bat (with a leash in case it flies out of my hand).

I would think an epee would be better, depending on the circumstance.

Do you see how easily they kill them? They swipe/stab something at their heads and are done with it. And a lot of times they are using simple pocket knives to do it. It's almost like it's too easy not to. Besides, the famous thing about zombies is that one or two of them aren't shite, but their numbers are what end up fricking you up. So why not kill them when you randomly stumble across them?

Like someone said...if anything, the episode where Dale died shows why you should always kill one when the chance presents itself. It's too easy not to, and the repercussions from that compared to the immediate threat (or lack thereof really) aren't worth it.

For the guys that think Lizzie killed and burned the two people, do you think a small kid would be able to move them. There were blood trails where they were dragged to be set on fire. A small girl couldn't do that on her own but carol could have helped maybe after Lizzie or carol killed them.

I was thinking this also. As much time and energy the group uses to dig graves, they should go in the woods and dig pits instead. Put sound baits on the pits and come by every few days and set the zombies collected on fire.. Just like the pit Woodbury had.

Also at some point I'm not digging anymore graves and just burning bodies as people die. Food is to hard to come by to waste calories on burying bodies.

I'll go back to this and it was proven lastnight....Darryl mowed them down with ease in a dodge charger. You could easily use a heavy duty vehicle to take large amounts of them out piled up along the fence. Kill the stragglers you don't get with the weapons

I agree. Kill every damned one you can because each one that's put down is one that can't come back and get you. Doing anything less is just asking for trouble, and that includes not having daily routes around the fence to poke holes in the head of any zombie close enough to get to through the fence.

Quite a few of us have mentioned the burning bodies thing before. There's just no sense in burying people in this scenario. None at all.

Which is why I said that Lizzie killed them and Carol helped cover it up. I think that initially Lizzie killed the two and watched them turn and Carol discovered it so she helped Lizzie drag them out and burn the evidence.

Lizzie is the one luring the zombies with the rats because I think she has a deeper connection with the zombies than she does people; hence naming them. She was also visibly upset when "Nick" the zombie was killed.

I also think Lizzie isn't sick and she's faking sick to get in the quarantined block so that she can start killing the people off.

It's a stretch, but I think it's all plausible.

I've said it before and I will say it again:

"Armored bulldozer". Maybe even call it a "zombie-dozer".

I agree a trip around the fence in a bulldozer or farm tractor that was secured against zombies would be easy Pickens to run them over and crush them.

I would also like to find a excavator to build trap pits or a moat.

Yup. Dig a moat, pit trap, anything to keep them away from the fence. Absolutely no use in taking up the little soil in the prison for graves instead of produce. Plus I wouldnt run the risk of the infected bodies getting into the soil somehow.

there is something going on with Lizzie because she didn't seem all that sick. So either she's just a shitty actor or she's up to something.
